The definition of "Value"
I wanted to start this review off with a couple of key points. First off, I have shopped and purchased goods on Amazon almost daily since 2011 and I can count on one hand the number of times that I have been compelled to leave a product review. Second, and really the whole point of this review, the Mooer White Hornet amp is the epitome of "value" in today's guitar market, meaning the cost versus reward is simply phenomenal. Now on to some details, for those that may be interested. I picked up this amplifier nearly a month ago, withholding my initial opinions, and have been playing it on a mostly daily basis since. Let's start with the price for some perspective... I have multiple guitar pedals that cost 2-3x the prices of this entire amplifier, none of which have proven to be as fulfilling as this little amp. I was in the market for a desktop amplifier, like a THR or Spark or something of the like when I came across the White Hornet. While I'm not normally one to buy what is seemingly (looking at the price) a bottom of the barrel guitar product, I liked what I was seeing and couldn't really see any downside, again given the low price. What I've since discovered is certainly the most "valuable" piece of guitar kit that I own. This little amp is perfect for laid back jamming in a bed room or in the living room. The volume level is perfect. The modeling selections mostly sound great and there are a ton of options! It connects to your phone via Bluetooth to jam alongside backing tracks or whatever tickles your fancy. No, this is not the same as playing through my Twin Reverb, 5150, or Marshall DSL, and if you want window-vibrating volume you wouldn't be looking at a 15-watt solid state amplifier. What this is, is a perfect desktop amplifier that not only sounds great, is incredibly versatile, but your wife might not even mind it sitting beside the couch in the living room, because it is one cool looking little amp! I find myself spending far more time playing on the White Hornet at home due to its sheer practicality. I'd highly recommend keeping one of these on hand, whether you are a beginner, closet musician, or an experienced professional playing gigs every night. It is really a tool that everyone can afford and it fills a role in everyone's kit.

Very versatile with a lot of potential for combining effects.
I Love my white Amp. It's every thing I could want in an amp for home, always finding new ways to combine the many features of the amp and coming up with new sounds and ways to combine the different effects in the menu, quality product. I am having a small issue with the length of time it takes for the lights to stop flashing when you first turn it on so have contacted Mooer and am waiting for a response but this is a great company so know it will work out fine. If I could I would buy a couple more in the different styles, Try it you'll like it I have recommended it to my friends with rave reviews.

Good for the price, but it is quite inexpensive
First, the power supply arrived broken. The packaging didn't support it very well and the plastic housing was thin and brittle. The cracks were so bad, pieces of plastic fell out, exposing AC wiring and filter caps. Dangerous stuff. I am trained to fix those kinds of circuits, but do not try, without experience and proper tools. Generally, the amp was decent, it sounds ok, is sufficiently loud for practice, handles bass, the instrument, not the frequencies, surprisingly well for the size and price. It has a nice appearance and fits on my shelf. The only real drawback is, the controls for EQ, FX, gain and so on are stepped, not continuously variable. So, the level of crunch, reverb or delay has only a few steps, from a bit too much, to over the top, to comical. I like having a few user presets, but they would be so much better if all of the step amounts of effects were reduced to a third of the current choices.

Great small practice amp!
I was hesitant about buying this amp, but I went for it and I really like it. I'm admittedly not a big fan of non tube amps, so it took me a little while to get used to solid state. But the sounds are really good! And the effects are very usable. I like having a practice amp with built in effects that I can use in a pinch so I don't need my pedalboard. Another feature I like that I didn't anticipate is the bluetooth option. I connect my phone and play drum loops that I can improvise over. Very cool. This amp also gets plenty loud for a practice setting. Exactly what I was looking for.
