Daiwa J-Braid x4 Filler Spool

It's smooth, very flexible and strong!

Spools on nicely and is easy on the cast finger. Other brands at the same 30# are rough and this line did not tear up my finger and J-braid cast further than other brands I bought on Amazon. I was able to reach a blitz off the beach when no one else could using same 3oz lure. It has been very resistant to wind knots so far...better than name brands I've used.I still use the big name brand braid but I like this line and spooled up another reel with 15# bought at local store. I have noticed the line has lightened a bit off its dark green color on the most used portion but has no effect on its performance, plus I use a flouro leader anyway. I will compare both for color bleed.

If you are looking for a great fluorescent braided fishing line, look no further. This is the first really fluorescent braid I have found that glows when you turn on the black light. This is the 50lb strength in the photo.FOR CRAPPIE NIGHT FISHING, I use this line on ultralight equipment as the main line. It goes to a good ball bearing swivel with my 1/4 oz weight above the swivel on this main line. Then I use a 18” 4lb Leader with a wire gold hook.

Braid seems to be great quality, but l returned it was a little stiff to my liking, so l got the X8 gray instead

I was a Sufix 832 user for a long time but found that it bites into the spool when it is packed on. After a bit of digging around seems 4 fiber has a bit better abrasion resistance and isn't prone to biting into the line below it on a spool. The downside is it tends to not cast as far as 8 fiber and is a bit rough through the guides by comparison. Neither of these really impacts my inshore fishing. This brand and style is noticeably less expensive and after a few days of hookups with some snook and tarpon, the line held up. The color held up as well.

This is a good cheap line. In the future I will be paying more to get a line that is smoother and does not get kinks in it.

I haven’t used their J braid X8 braid but this x4 braid really sucked yes I will admit it’s ultra thin and I thought it be good for surf fishing but the lb test off and breaks when I tied shocker leader knots and the actual pound test is off quite a bit. It would be great line for light fishing but at the surf even with my shocker leader to absorb impact it even broke and I lost my favorite diamond jig:(( but all and all I don’t wanna give them bad rep cuz I heard good things about j braid X8 however I will go back to using Yo zuri braid that is also from Japan but far more higher quality than this

How can U show pictures of your j-braid X8on all photo shots. Then I come to find out it’s X4 that I purchased. Only after looking at the order that’s coming tomorrow.

Great Braid, I'm thinking I'm switching from Power Pro to J brand, im a fishing guide and I've seen my Power Pro Fray way to early, I'm on the water from May to October and line is not cheap especially all the rods and reels I own, I've got J brand on my 2 muskie reels and still like new

Product picture shows 1500 yes and nowhere in the description does it say quantity, there seems to be something in their own product tag that may say it's only 300yds but is very deceiving, I also got the 4x instead of 8x, again no description to suggest otherwise
