Synced up in just about a minute and stayed that way from then on, I didn't have to do much at all and it sounded very well.
I did not give this a perfect 5 star rating since it probably could have more and better features and nothing is perfect sound anyway, that said, it is a very well made instrument and works very very well. It was simple to connect to the radio channel and to the android smartphone and in most cases they all sync up when I turn on the ignition and momentarily unplug-plug'in the device to clear it, a steady blue light shows it is synced up. There are a couple other ways to play your songs from direct line or from mini sd cards etc...and I will try them in due time. It will stay on if you don't unplug it but there is very little battery drain from this, just don't do it often and you'll be fine. The sound from the radio is very slightly static but you won't much notice it. There may be other stations that have zero static so you can try it, the 88.3 station they recommend sometimes has a station bleeding through if you are at the top of a mountain but it is barely audible and not for long....not meant to be like sirius digital sound for this price.
