Perfect replacement
I was looking for this piece as a contact on mine had broken off and I didn't want to throw it away. This fixed that issue along with being an improvement with the magnets. Great part!

Really helps on those nights at the campgrounds. If not on the vehicle to look for something in the middle of the night then in the campground bathroom that have no lights

Makes an awesome lantern better.
These little Siege lanterns are amazing, and these magnetic bases make them even better. Weight added is negligible and well worth the advantage.

Wish i'd noticed i could have bought the version of the Siege that had this included.
Really wanted this feature and mess up on ordering the orignial siege. really like the light though. Its so small you don't think it would be that usefull, however that seems to be its biggest assett. handly like a flash light but provides area light. which in many cases seems to be what you really need rather than just the spot from a flash light.

Von Streamlight gibt es serienmäßig die neongelbe Siege AA mit Magnetfuß. Da ich diese Laterne besitze, und diesen Magnetfuß extrem praktisch finde, habe ich mir für meine Sandfarbene Siege AA den passenden Magnetfuß gekauft. Das tolle an dem Magnetfuß ist, das die 3 Magneten echt stark sind. Die Laterne haftet wirklich fest und sicher. Man kann sie problemlos kopfüber mit dem Magnet "aufhängen", und die Laterne hält bombenfest. Der Magnetfuß hat weiterhin den stabilen Metall Karabiner. Der Magnetfuß ist letztlich aufgebaut wie ein normaler Batteriedeckel, halt nur halt mit Magneten. Preislich ist der Deckel soweit auch in Ordnung. Ich hatte ~16€ bezahlt. Fazit: Ein interessantes "Magnetfuß Update" für die sandfarbene Siege AA.

Mittels dieses Batteriedeckels kann nun auch die "Standard" Siege AA an Metalloberflächen angehaftet werden. Dies ist mit dem "normalen" Batteriefachdeckel ohne Magneten leider nicht möglich. Leider wird die grüne Siege nicht mit Magneten im Batteriedeckel geliefert (die gelbe "Notfall" Siege allerdings schon!) Diese Problem bzw. dieser Nachteil wird nun Dank dieses Nachrüstsatzes behoben. Somit kann nun auch die Siege an allen metallischen Oberflächen zuverlässig angebracht und verwendet werden. Hiermit kann sie beispielsweise an Motorhauben oder Türrahmen dank des Magneten befestigt werden und leuchtet einem zuverlässig den Weg oder erhellt den Arbeitsbereich, oder dient zur Absicherung von Unfallstellen,... Da mittels diese Nachrüstsatzes die Verwendungsmöglichkeiten der Siege AA deutlich gesteigert werden - KLARE KAUFEMPFEHLUNG!!
