BDP 3700 and can categorically say they are both great blue ray players and are a credit to the ... *by S***N on 7 June 2017* I have bought both the BDP 1700 and BDP 3700 and can categorically say they are both great blue ray players and are a credit to the quality of Sony. The player is quiet and loads discs quickly and efficiently. The interface is clean and simple to use and works well with the remote. The main Apps include Amazon, Netflix, BBCiplayer and Sonys own App which allows you to play certain ps3 games. On the BDP 3700 the wifi works well and connected without any issues. There are better ( and far more expensive) players out there, but for a standard smart blue ray player which is capable of Hi Definition 1180p then this is a fantastic buy. Both the BDP 1700 and BDP 3700 have DVD upscaling which means the player improves the quality of your standard definition dvds I’ve read reviews saying this blu ray player does not have an AMAZON APP.
