Best Constellation Flash Cards currently available
I have several sets of constellation flash cards /playing cards. Some are prettier than this set, and some are cheaper. But I consider this set the most useful one. Ideally, one side would not have lines at all while the other one would, together with all the relevant information. I suggest taking one constellation at a time, maybe those corresponding to current season, and learning them before moving on. It is also important to learn the names of the 1st magnitude stars together with names of the constellations. All this can be done easily with this set.

Very good info.
I enjoy using this deck for doing astro reading for lots of different things to learn.

Too small to be useful as flash cards
As one reviewer commented, ‘cute’. They really do seem more like a novelty item. There doesn’t seem to be any guidance as to where to look, not even Northern or Southern Hemisphere. The cards seem to be well constructed, but they have no real information about the constellations. Any information that is on a card is generally too small to be of any use especially in low light, like when stargazing. Not something I would give as gift, so it has little value to me.

If recognizing all 88 constellations is your goal, these are the cards for you!
Pros: + The Cardia Constellations card deck is the only one that covers all 88 of the modern constellations recognized by the International Astronomical Union. Other flashcard decks cover only 47 constellations and the "playing card" decks only have 52. + The cards contain the names of the stars in each constellation. Cons: - Medium quality card stock (not as good as Bicycle standard playing cards for example). These cards will last... if handled gently. - These cards seem to be focused purely on recognizing the constellation patterns and provide no history (what did ancient civilizations think of the particular constellation?) or background information (Where did the constellation's name come from? Where is it located in the sky?) The Constellations Knowledge Cards from Pomegranate have these kinds of details and are 1/3 the price but only cover 1/2 the constellations. I like this deck but it seems a little pricey for the "just the facts, ma'am" presentation. I would rate it five stars if it were around $20.

excellent!!
Excellent, it has totally fulfilled my expectations, it is ideal to teach a child about constellations. My 5-year-old son is happy with them and has learned many more constellations that he already knew before, even now he talks about "sagitta".

I am getting on to astrophotography and these card are a great help in recognising the constellations and help plan what I might want to photograph.

I am trying to learn the constellations, thought these would help, and I think will be very beneficial. Glossy, small enough to fit in your pocket or bag. Be careful though, on first opening, some may stick together, to make sure to count each card, if any missing, check the missing ones are not simply stuck to another. The company will send you a replacement card if any are missing, but I'm wondering, how many people like me thought some were missing when actually, they were merely stuck to another, easily separated. If you want to learn constellations, these are good for purpose. I've just ordered the other pack for planets and other things in the cosmos. Oh, I'm not a child, this is not a a toy, it's a learning aid.

Great product, but caught out by a £12 VAT and handling fee I wasn't expecting
