You do need good eyesight to connect the rails and a gentle but firm pushing/wriggling action to connect them. The detail is incredible and we both enjoyed watching it run. For a novice though the instruction leaflet is basic. There are no instructions for wiring up the power box nor a decent layout just to get going nor the fact that the tender needed to be attached to the loco to get it to run. Most of these things a model train enthusiast would cope with easily but not if you've never done it before. Overall though,m very happy despite the bottom of the box being missing which of course affects its value long term should you decide to sell on.

This was delightful once we had it up and running. You do need good eyesight to connect the rails and a gentle but firm pushing/wriggling action to connect them. The detail is incredible and we both enjoyed watching it run. For a novice though the instruction leaflet is basic. There are no instructions for wiring up the power box nor a decent layout just to get going nor the fact that the tender needed to be attached to the loco to get it to run.
