These are steel plates, powder coated black. Simple, yet very effective and work great! I use one on the back of my carbon fiber case (Samsung S23 Ultra), with one of the Carmount brand magnets in my Jeep TJ. As good as the Carmount is, and as good as this plate is, it's just not grippy enough for this brick of a phone to put the plate inside the case. But on the outside, it's a beast. Absolutely no problems with holding. And the black plate doesn't take away from the look of the carbon. It has also takes wear very well! I've had it on the back for well over a month, and even with laying it on tables, putting it in my pocket for work, and use in general, the finish has not worn. Even the edges. Very happy with this plate.

The strength of the adhesive is fantastic, and the size has met our needs

Well constructed metal plate for cell phone, iPad, other devices. I use these with magnetic mount cell phone holders, the 3M adhesive works well. Once you stick it directly on the phone or case, it won't come off even if you want it to. The package also includes special film to place between the adhesive and the phone/case, to facilitate removal later if desired, but I prefer to have it stuck permanently because the South Carolina heat is hard on anything sitting on the dash. I have purchased multiple packs of these plates - the work so well, even for non-standard mounting uses.

I've been using these for years. I buy a package, one or more of my kids wants me to stick one on their phone case 'cause they just absolutely had to get a new phone and case, and the next thing I know, it's time for me to order another package. (I've been known to change phones pretty regularly too, but it's easier to blame it on the kids.) The main thing is this: if you install these metal plates properly, they will last longer than the phone or phone case you have. (You DO use good cases on your phones, don't you? Yes, I thought you did.) Just clean the case or phone surface properly with isopropyl alcohol, let it dry, and peel-and-stick the plate. Personally, I don't use the clear sticker that the manufacturers recommend to be used for attaching the plate. Yes, using the clear sticker makes it easier and cleaner to remove the plate later, but I don't want to remove the plate; I want it to stick forever and never fall off ... and that's what it does.

Bought as mates to magnetic phone holder. Stick firmly, are sturdy and well-made. Recommended.

Works. Wish the brand didnt take up the whole magnet, should be blank or a small "v" or something-- no one wants to see weird big brand names, otherwise it does what its supposed to.

This is a must have to hold your phone securely to your dash in certain cases. I do recommend that you have some kind of ledge or lip that your phone would rest against on the bottom. Very securely mounted with the glue backing. Not at first but give it a few days and you’ll struggle to remove it. I use it in my semi truck and I’ve had to switch trucks so many times I think I’ve went thru 2 sets already. They blend right in with the dash and aren’t unsightly at all.

Also ich finde diese Platten sind die besten. Habe schon einige probiert, aber dass sind die besten. Stabile, Kratz unempfindlich, kleben SEHR GUT, und halten an jedem Autohalter, verwende sie auch außerhalb vom Auto z.b. im Haushalt. Gefühlt habe ich schon 100 Stück;-) gekauft. Immer wieder zu empfehlen.

These do exactly what they say, they are HUGE though, so bare in mind if you have a smaller phone (fortunately I have the big Pixel 6 Pro!) so just about fits and looks pretty cool. Recommend!
