These don't provide enough protection from heat. You can feel the heat when grabbing something out of the oven, and can't hold on to hot items for very long. I wouldn't buy these again or recommend them.

I have small hands, my husband has large hands, and these KitchenAid Mini Oven Mitts are great for both of us. They are more flexible than the typical ones with thumbs. They can do everything we need them to do, oven pans, pot handles on the stove, casseroles out of the microwave. The inside has a gripping texture. Very comfortable. Heat resistant. Quality construction. We had a cheap set of thumb-style that the stuffing started coming out when something hot broke the fabric after only a few uses. That will not happen with these. Happy purchase.
