These lights were exactly what we were looking for. We could not find any reasonable priced 12v lights for outdoor columns. These were easy to convert from 110v to 12v .

The reviews saying they only lasted 3 months are dumb. It’s a simple bulb replacement but I’ve have 5 of them up for almost a year with no issues. Very clean look and good quality.

Needs brighter bulb
The light fixture itself is nice for now. As a do-it-yourselfer I tend to fix a lot of things around the house and I see how/why things break or don’t last. For as much as this item was, it could have been made better as in sturdier, the top could have been designed to not allow water to pool on top of the fixture(rust), the plastic inserts could have been made clear as well as out of something better than the cheap plastic sheet it is made out of and the bulbs could be a higher wattage. I see this item getting rusty due to the water pooling and the plastic inserts will last 2-3 years as the California sun will turn then brittle and they will break just by touching them. In this day and age, people are “lighting” up their yards more and more due to increased crime, so I had to buy brighter bulbs to get the brightness I wanted.
