can you use hammer rod on on soft soil to bury rod?

The clamp does not have an attachment for the wire. How should this be done. Simply squishing it against the rod with the bolt does not seem secure.

I will be using this as a temporary ground in multiple locations for a portable generator. I am using 6 gauge welding cable for the connection. I placed these connectors (10pcs 6 Gauge 6 AWG x 5/16” Pure Copper Cable Lug Terminal Ring Connectors with Dual Wall Adhesive Lined Red + Black Heat Shrink Tubing – by WNI) on the ends of the welding cable and it seems to wedge securely in the clamp on the side of the rod.

Does this length rod meet NEC requirements for grounding a weather station mast?

This is a 4 feet long ground rod for general grounding needs.NEC and UL listing requires 8 ft long minimum.you can find in our store the 8ft ground rod for industrial needs.

Electricians or anyone with experience, does this have to necessarily have to be wired to work? Or can the rod be used alone?

It depends on how you install the grounding rod. If you ground an equipment very closely and have good contact between equipment and ground rod, a wire is not necessary. If you ground equipment a little far from ground rod, the ground wire is necessary.
