Whistling noise is gone
This product fit perfectly in a 2022 Tesla Model Y's OEM Roof Rack. Removed the rubber strip from the front rack only, and replaced it with three of these Rhino Rack M626s side-by-side, trimming the third one slightly to fit. The whistling noise previously present when driving over 40mph from the OEM Roof Rack is now gone. Relatively inexpensive solution, and even looks cool.EDIT: The issue remains, but typically only after 60mph. At least it's an improvement, but not solving the problem on the highway.EDIT 2: I combined the three M626s as before, but also wrapped a paracord eight times around the front roof rack only, and the whistling noise is gone. Tied the paracord down on both sides around the wingnuts that hold the roof rack down to the vehicle. Cheap fix, looks fine.EDIT 3: The noise was intermittent even with the paracord. I took the roof racks off. Good luck.

Worked better than expected!
My Subaru Forester OEM Fixed Roof Crossbars had considerable wind noise, so I took a chance and bought these to replace the OEM smooth rubber insert on the top of the bar. The OEM strips were 12mm wide and the Rhino strips were a perfect interchangeable fit. I was able to remove the OEM strips and insert the Rhino strips in a matter of minutes and without any tools. My objective was to reduce the wind noise. I was (and still am) amazed that these Vortex Generating strips COMPLETELY eliminated the wind noise. I am very pleased with the results.

Read the small print buried in the product detail.
Product quality was as expected, but length wasn't. The expanded product detail is the only place you'll find that this isn't a full length strip. Pricing is per 15 inches resulting in a much higher cost than buying a 48 inch strip from Thule or elsewhere.

No more whistle
Just bought an aftermarket roof rack off Amazon for my Model Y. Works great except for the whistling around 50 mph. Seems to be a problem even with the rack Tesla sells. Bought 3 of these strips and slightly cut the third one to fit my rack. The whistling is now gone even at 65 mph. Don’t mind the lower ratings for this product…most of them complain that it’s too small but they are the size advertised. You will probably need at least 3 side by side for your rack. Very impressive product especially for the price.

for my rhino rack
So I purchased this because I bought a rhino rack for 100 bucks on offerup. I know sick deal right?Unfortunately it didn't come with the vortex strips so I kept hearing a loud whisling noise staring at 30 mph.I learned about these strips and instead of wrapping my racks with a bungee cord or putting aluminum foil tape on the top to cover the gaps, I decided to go the more expensive and sexy route which was just to get these damn things.First off, my rack is 43 inches long, these are 15 inches each. so you can see where it kind of gets really lame. I had to buy 3 for each rack and cut the remaining inches off to fit them all in. It looks flush but I paid for 2 more strips just to cut a portion and throw away. MehSo aside from that, they work great. Provide extra cushion for whatever I throw on top. The whistling is non existent which is what I am really happy with.I wish they would create more custom sizes but whatever. 6 bucks for 15 inches, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Still better than paying for 400+ dollar rhino racks!

Should be included, but worth the extra few bucks
Fits snugly in the top rail of my Vortex 2500 bar. Definitely cut down on wind noise and made for a secure mounting strip on top.Does not fit the underside channel of the Vortex 2500 bar.

What a joke!
Are you a smurf? Is your car appoximately 1' wide? Well this is the product for you!All kidding aside, this product is meant to help reduce wind noise and is to be installed on top of ferrings/ wind screens, which are the plastic shields that are often installed in front of roof-top racks. (You know - those Thule's or Yakima brand bars that you see on top of most of the cars in an REI parking lot.) As I'm sure most of you have noticed, most cars have a roof width in the vicinity of 40" give or take a few inches, which means the wind screens are the same size, which means a product such as this should be of the same size. Contrary to that logic, the product listed here came in the mail, in a padded, letter-sized envelope. It was delivered in my mail box, and was folded into a U-shape. It is no longer than 14" long x 1" wide x 1/2" thick. And, the icing on the cake? MSRP is $6.Save yourself the trouble, move on and don't be had like we were.
