You can open them with your fingers, slide the cat6 wires into the comb then push it all together and it crimps itself. It's really cool and quick to set up. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ who who have problems with the CAT6A jacks are using garbage patch cable. *by S***N on Reviewed in the United States on 31 May 2019* normally, buying 24 individual, shielded Cat6A jacks on their own would cost way over $100, and a grounded patch panel of this high quality would cost another $25 minimum. this complete package gets you all of that for about half the price. i bought two of these. stripped the keystone jacks out of the second unit to use for the wall ends of the runs. wired up the entire house for $150 in jacks and $150 in cables, and i couldn't be happier.now my huge and loud 100TB NAS can sit in a part of the house where i can not hear it while still getting 800MB/s read/write speeds on my workstation in my home office. additionally, all the PoE devices are now grounded, which lets me sleep better when i'm traveling.EDIT: June 16, 2016people who are having trouble with these jacks are using garbage patch cables. these keystone jacks will not work with very thin cables that are marketed as "CAT 6" and "Cat 7". amazon Basics and newegg's rosewill brands, for example, with not work with these because they are simply too thin and don't always make good contact with the pins inside that slice the cables. you need 23AWG cables. not thinner, and not thicker.im using monoprice Cat6A, 23AWG cables (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MY6N21R/) and so far have a 100% success rate 96 of these keystones (i bought more since my initial review). so, just don't use garbage cables and you should be OK. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Loved the easy of connections *by J***K on Reviewed in the United States on 29 September 2020* I loved the easy of connections with the Toolless keystone jacks. Now to be honest, you still need a strong scissor, wire cutter or razor blade, and a flat screwdriver (or other strong flat tool). I still needed a tool to strip the outer sheath of my shielded Cat 6A cables.The pros:1. I didn't need a tool to connect, but just a strong scissor or wire cutter2. I didn't have to strip the tiny colored wires3. It fit my rack perfectly.4. It comes with cable holders5. It comes with cable ties6. It is marked 1-48 (whereas two 24 give you 1-24 twice)7. The keystones were pre-color coated so you didn't have to guess where to put the wiresThe cons were these: (And none were serious cons)1. The lack of instructions in the box, but they were online so not really a bad con. I printed them easily.2. A lack of clarity on which color scheme is crossover and which is straight-thru. Obviously, I looked it up online, too.3. The rack mount screws were useless as I have square holes that require a nut with a clip. This did not have a nut with a clip, so I had to purchase screws with a clip-on nut anyway.4. I couldn't get the keystone jacks out without a tool. My finger strong enough. I had a guy with really strong hands try, he couldn't either. One jack broke the piece of plastic holding it, so now it is sitting in place, but a little loose. Honestly, I was rough with it. A flat screwdriver takes the Keystones out easy. So again, another tool I needed.5. Not fully tool-less. I still needed wire cutters or razor blade to strip the wires. I needed a flat screwdriver to remove the keystone jacks.
