Are these non toxic? What is the country of origin?

I don't know the country of origin for the glue sticks, but I suspect that like 90% of USA craft products, they come from China. Nevertheless buying thru Amazon is quick, easy and reasonable and I just can't do without glue sticks for the many crafts I make and gift.

It sounds like a nice idea. Weight is everything though so I would suggest you try a couple before going forward with the project. If you could do a tiny decorative knot and then glue-gun the knot - it might hold well. Give it a try!,
