Researched about these for an extended time (probably too much, as I do for everything I buy on line). I was concerned about the magnet holding on to the frame of our cart windshield... because there is an aluminum frame OVER the steel frame (limiting the devices magnetic holding capability) that holds the 'sunbrella' rain and cold weather cover (you'll see it's zipper in the photos). Hooking the steel spring clip (that it comes with) over the side of the windshield plastic solved that issue... the hook is horizontal, and the holder is vertical, but there still is plenty of holding strength. Full disclosure- I did make a safety clip out of a couple of large black wire ties... the slide on ends (cut from other zip ties) are visible in the view from the left (to the left of the windshield frame).. the big end of the ties hooked in the slots on that side of the holder (matching slots on the right visible in the other photo). Sort of like this -o------||-o (?) In addition, the remote shutter release works great for taking remote selfies or group photos!! VERY happy with this purchase... using for GPS map guidance app, here in The Villages.

This fits very tightly on my golf cart, the phone holder works as advertised , strong magnet securely holds my phone while I play golf, keeping my golf app data in plain view and always in reach, recommended.

I had no issues with the phone holder or magnet, my issue is with the remote. It worked maybe three to four times, then it stopped working. I changed the battery, however it still wouldn't turn on. It was great when it worked but now I'm stuck without a training aide.

Update: I received a replacement for this item recently with a much improved upgraded magnet which works as expected. I would recommend now. Original Review: Weak magnet and would not stay in place on golf cart. Was hoping for better, will keep looking.

Great product. Took it out to North Kern Golf Course. (Not the smoothest course to drive) the phone fit in the holder (samsung galaxy s10+ w/ a case on the phone). Phone never fell off. The magnet was strong. Held the phone with no problem. Stayed on the rail of the cart. I was able to keep track of my score without taking the phone off the mount. Definitely would buy again.
