A: We store ours on the shelf laying down most of the time. We also have them standing near the white paper board. It's a liquid ink so it stores well.

**Q: is it opaque enough to cover shipping labels ?**
A: Yes, I have had no issues with using these markers to cover up shipping labels if re-using a box.
