This is such a useful purchase for me because I mix it in with my chicken feed during the winter months to minimize parasites, discourage rodents and essentially keep the chickens warmer! In addition to buying this in bulk I also buy black pepper, garlic, thyme, and oregano each for different reasons. Cayenne pepper works best out of them all! It was fresh, the flavor was good because I used it for cooking as well which make the versatility of it worth it and very much so worth the money! Great value.

My problem has been aggressive squirrels. I have tried many products from chemical repellants to sound emitting devices. Each has drawbacks but for my money the best repellent is this simple Cayenne. Easy to pour and you will learn quickly to keep your nose away. The drawback is the staying power. Once wet it coagulates but does not easily go away. If you have a lawn watering system and the cayenne is in range, you will only get a single use. If you have heavy dew in the mornings you will likely get only a couple days. But if you have a reasonably dry area and need only to worry about rain, this is a great deterrent, and its fun watching the squirrels get in a panic when they hit it. Makes me happy.

I bought this initially to sprinkle in my garden to ward off armadillos. Turns out, those critters enjoy their spicy little bugs and that idea was a fail. However, I am also a spice fiend (can’t blame those armadillos!) and always have cayenne on hand. This one is fantastic- very fresh and rich pepper smell- not like some of the other bulk brands that are dried out and not as pungent. It has a slightly hotter flavor than the store brand due to the quality, which I love. The packaging lends itself to bulk cooking or spreading in a garden, but it’s easy to funnel into a smaller jar for general use. I will definitely buy this again. It’s a great value for the money.

Believe it or not, I use this product as a pest & animal deterrent! I Don’t want to kill the critters (Squirrels, Rabbits, Raccoons & irresponsible & inconsiderate neighbors’ family Dogs; just stop them from pissing on my lawn, and killing my grass, Thank You! 🙏🏽 Sorry Dog lovers, You are “The Worst”‼️ I know I am catching and going to Hell for that one; but it’s the God Almighty Truth! This cayenne pepper comes in a handy, easy to use pour container. The heat units are 50,000, but it doesn’t seem too hot depends depending on the amount that you use. I am very happy that it comes in a 5 pound version at a very reasonable price, because I like to use cayenne pepper in my food, but it is also very useful in preparing organic insect repellents. I highly recommend this product.

Great price. Actually purchased this to help control ground rodents in yard. Heard they do not like the smell. Sprinkled in the hole and around the mounds and seem to help.

I am using it to deter some naughty wild animals that damage my yard for Grubs. When I opened the bottle seal, my nostril immediately felt Sting. So I strongly suggest: wear Mask, use Gloves and even Goggles. I didn't dilute the powder just used small spoon to sprinkle on the area that Racoon interest in, and they never come back. By the way, I don't have any pets.
