soothing and amazing!!

Hands-down, this is the best ointment ever. I get really bad skin allergies in the summertime and it makes me itch constantly. I’ve tried so many creams and ointments and this is the only one that works. It doesn’t dry out my skin and it helps me so much. I’m so happy I found this.

This works fantastic on wounds that have basically healed & scabbed over because once they start scabbing, they start itching... bad! The first time I tried regular Cortisone 10 ointment. BAD idea, it stung SOOOO bad!! I tried to work thru it, but finally had to wash it off. I & my Dr are fans of regular Aquaphor (& because it has less, more natural ingredients & seems more mild) I tried this Aquaphor Itch Relief Ointment. Voilà!!! It worked!! I put a big dab on a bandaid & covered the scab. Stopped the itching & will continue to help the wound heal by keeping it hydrated (which reduces scarring). Please note: I ONLY used this on the wound AFTER it started healing & scabbed over (it was a cat bite wound that I had cleaned throughly & kept sterilizing & using neosporin & bandaids for days. Then it finally healed without infection & scabbed over. THAT is when most wounds started itching terribly. If I hadn't tried Aquaphor Itch Relief, I would have ended up unintentionlly scratching the scab off, which could've caused it to get infected. Then I would've had to start all over with wound care instead of healing care. Aquaphor saved the day!! Kinda expensive, but worth it.

I am torn on what to give this. I wish I could give it a 4.5. It seems to help, but I need it to help more. Maybe that is unfair to it and it is a me issue. But I don't know. Maybe it is me. I have ordered some numbing stuff used for tattoo's that I am going to try next and so maybe it is me. But to be clear, if I use this stuff and put it on my skin that is itching, it definitely helps and if I leave it alone, I can at least sleep. So far of the anti-itching creams I have tried, this seems to be the best. I have also found it helps to apply it first and then follow it up with a lotion. I think it helps spread it around more and is a little more able to get into the skin that way.

It works well; the itch-relieving effect is very noticeable.

Love this ointment. I need 3-4 around the house at all times. This is the only thing (along with SVR brand eye cream) that keeps eczema away from inner eye, near tear duct and eyelid. A must have if you have dry eyelids and dry crepey under eyes.

Use this for eczema and any little rash or irritation that comes up on my sensitive skin. It really helps to calm things down so that I stop scratching.

Ok this is a keeper and a keep on hand for your medicine chest. Its summer and you think oh its a gorgeous day to be outside in the grass doing fun stuff or yard work.... and bam You got chiggers, nooooooo not thise itchy yucky chiggers that will drive you crazy all day and all night. Go to the medicine chest, pull out the aguaphor apply and the itchy goes away. Best product we've found and its a quality product worth its weight in gold Buy 2 and put into your prepper supplies.
