Ask any gamer who's been playing for a few years all they will all tell you the same thing, "Controllers are ripoffs" and we're not talking about the special limited edition ones. From the $80 for a new pair of Joy Con for the Switch, $60 for a PS4, or the absurd $300+ for Xbox Elites, controllers are over priced and either don't offer enough to justify their price or offer TOO MUCH that you don't need/never use to inflate the price. The EasySMX, though a bit dated now, is none of that. I've owned several for a few years now and they are comfortable enough for long term gaming hours while sturdy and weighted enough to not have to worry about breaking by accident. Trust me, I had to toss my first one like 4 or 5 times against a wall to even get one of the buttons to start sticking and it still worked for the most part. The design is good, following an Xbox style, but not always the best. The central LED light is very bright and a bit blinding. I would recommend putting a piece of tape or a sticker on it to cover that up and not hurt your eyes. Trust me, you can still press the button even with a sticker on it. Another thing that is kind of hard to explain, but the XYAB buttons are a bit too... rounded? I've only noticed this problem when I'm playing a racing game which requires me to hold one button continuously for a long period of time, but the shape can be a bit painful after a long while. I feel like it should be a bit more concave, but again these are very minor complaints I can overlook thanks to the inclusion of the Turbo function. The Turbo function is an amazing gift that not enough controllers in this modern day include which is one of the main reasons why I like the EasySMX as it is always included in regardless of it's design model from what i've seen. Now, as an older gamer I have early signs of arthritis in my right hand, particularly around the thumb area. So having a game that requires me to button mash a single button over and over again, looking at you Devil May Cry or other combo action games, is actually painful for me. Being able to turn these multiple mashes into a single press to ease the stress on my hand when I feel it is becoming too painful is amazing. There is no doubt in my mind that I'm able to continue playing certain games ssimply because this controller offers this simple overlooked feature. Overall the EasySMX is a great controller most average gamer needs. Simple and functional with a price that won't break your wallet in these trying times. From a long time user of this controller, trust me. I went from owning one and now I have three. I have not used another controller that has felt as good and easy to use as this one. Even replaced my Steam Controller with one.

This controller arrived very quickly, came in very nice packaging and worked as advertised. I actually bought it to use on my PS2 with a converter box that allows PS3 controllers to be used on the PS2 and it worked great in that capacity. My Xbox One controller that I use for PC was becoming unresponsive from wear and tear and I was going to buy a new one but I thought this controller felt so good and knew it doubled as a PC controller as well so I switched it over as my main PC controller and it works and feels great there too. I am now thinking about buying a couple of these for my PS2 and PS3 so I don't have to keep transferring this one back and forth. It is a wonderful controller and you would be hard pressed to find a better one for the price. Most budget controllers just feel off from the official ones and usually lack a certain finesse and grace and tend to feel kind of clunky in your hands. This one feels just like an official Xbox 360 controller but with light rubber grip pads for the palms of your hands and is a little lighter but not in a cheap way. The only "weak" spot on the controller, if you want to call it that, is that the shoulder buttons and back triggers don't feel quite as good as the official ones. They still feel good and work and everything, they are just a little clickier than an official one and the triggers have just a little less resistance than an official one when you push them down. I am overall very impressed with how professional this controller looks and feels when considering that it costs half the price you would pay if you bought an official wired controller or one from big name 3rd party companies like Power A or PDP. And for anyone who really prefers the Xbox controller set up over the Playstation set up, but still want to play some of the PS3 exsclusive games or play PS1 games using the PS3 backwards compatability, this is the closest to the real deal I have seen available for the PS3.

If you're looking for a PC controller designed to emulate the original 360 controllers, you really can't do much better than this if you're looking for a currently made one, other than trying to find an old original 360 pad. It feels pretty much exactly like the original 360 controllers did in terms of ergonomics while having some modern conveniences like modern better analog sticks and having nice rubber side grips. Buttons are responsive, the sticks are quite precise, and overall it does the job quite well. And because it's just a basic Xinput gamepad, it's recognized as a 360 controller and works out of the box with no setup. It's got its downsides though. For one, while it doesn't feel like it will break anytime soon, the plastic certainly feels cheaper than a genuine 360 controller. The rubber on the sticks is also not very grippy, meaning your thumbs could potentially end up sliding off. Triggers also have a noticeable deadzone before they activate, and there's a pretty prominent line where the two pieces of plastic that make up the triggers meet that's not very nice, but it's not painful or anything. The face buttons are also not flush with the face of the controller, being much taller than usual, but they don't feel loose. And if you've ever used a 360 controller, you know how terrible the D-pad is on it, and it's pretty much the same here. However, despite the downsides mentioned, they don't make the controller terrible to use by any measure. Honestly, I'm impressed by how good it actually is, and I think it makes for a good basic gamepad, or as a backup to your main gamepad.

Comfortable and works fine with any game using controller. It's not a controller that tries to reinvent things and move stuff around. It's pretty much an Xbox 360 controller which is not a bad thing IMO. I think it's a bit nicer looking, and there's a very slight grip on the sides that actually makes a huge difference. It's a slightly below average price for an above average controller. It started drifting after about 200-250 hours of playtime, and will probably be unusable before too long. All controllers are gonna drift though (that I'm aware of), and while this is a bit on the shorter side, it's not below average, especially for a 30 dollar 3rd party controller. I'm not really sure whether it's worth it to pay twice as much for a controller that *might* take a lot longer to develop drift, or to just buy this again. If you're looking for lifespan over affordability, probably get something else, but for me I'd say it was worth the price.

This review applies to both their Wired and Wireless controllers, as I have owned six between the two types. As much as I love the form factor and as much as I think it makes a very strong first impression, I have to remove some stars for value and my overall rating because out of these that I have owned, each of them had some issues way before you would expect with a joystick that is not used super heavily. In particular I have had issues with the sticks on them exhibiting premature drift, and the shoulder buttons becoming unresponsive on one side randomly. Before the issues, I'd have left glowing 5 star reviews because they really do make a tremendous first impression, and work really well for all kinds of games including FPS titles and others where joystick precision matters. They initially feel like they're giving you full "name brand" controller function at a value price. But, the low price must require some less durable parts to be used. If you are very especially gentle on controllers maybe they will last longer for you, but I am not hard on mine and have not had similar problems with most brands of controllers that I use. I had some Xbox 360 controllers I bought for use with my PC that lasted me more than 7 years. I strongly wish that these had better durability for me because apart from that they have really been good to use, I mean I kept buying them until I had gone through five or six of them because of that, but I think I have reached a point where I will be looking to just pay more for my next one to get a more durable product.

Worked great, until it didn't. Got it as a xmas gift...by Feb 28th it was dead. Won't connect in any port. Cable and plug look fine...no damage, just stopped working (and laptop ports still work fine for other devices). Looked up troubleshooting and tried everything...nope...last line of troubleshooting states if device is still dark after all these tips it must have failed internally and must be replaced. Bah...it's been 2 months and now dead. Not worth the money.

If I had to ask you exactly what my big fat fingers and oversized palms needed to grasp before picking up this controller I honestly could not have told you exactly. What makes your perfect controller? I'll tell you, though, after having bought this product, here's the list. - Sticks increase resistance the further from center you push them, removing that "floaty" joystick feeling and giving tactile feedback to the more significant an action you want to take the more pressure you have to use to get there, allowing easier gradation of input - Raised buttons that do not sink completely into the controller when pressed. Theres no playing whack a mole or having your finger slide off, the button stays poked up even when fully pressed so you can maintain a grip on it. - Start and Select buttons that work on a similar premise - Separation between the L/R buttons and the L/R triggers, making grip easier on a specific button - Matte rubber joystick tops that will never get slick, ever - D pad is a full 360 degree rotational pad, not a simple four directional cross - Rugged, lightweight construction that can survive being stepped on by an adult man several times before the joysticks are a total loss - Cheap as shit to replace, lets be honest - The size is *Perfect*. It is not so small that my oversized clown hands cramp while holding it, while still being about as small in all dimensions as you could imagine while accomplishing the above. Everything is close together, allowing for quick and accurate movement among the controls during say the kind of rapid pace gameplay you encounter in Elden Ring PvP. I would go so far as to say that after using this controller for Elden Ring PvP every single other controller I have tried from the standard xbox 360/one/whatever to the PS3/PS4/ps5 to other PC specific controllers just feels...wrong. This is my controller. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
