Excellent chapters, comprehensive. A must-have for the library of any music therapist!

This book was assigned for my intro class. I have read other music therapy text books, but this one does a great job outlining important information in each chapter. I have learned a ton just by reading! Would highly recommend!

A good and thorough resource as an introduction into the field of music therapy that is accessible to a wide audience.

Lots of information, great quality

Good outline of what Music Therapy is in the Western tradition. It is a codification of very ancient knowledge / wisdom and unfortunately comes across as the only valid path. Music has potential for positive or negative effect. The negative is not regulated except by the music industry who manipulate with it!!! A good resource nevertheless

Very good product, I like it very much

An important new contribution to the MT education literature. Having said that, I am writing this review in 2017 - almost three years after initial publication. Time for a 2nd edition - IMO.
