the job was done easily and quickly
I bought this grinder to smooth a concrete floor which had cracked and moved slightly vertically. Using a Concorde Blades CGDO4RF cupped wheel and Toolocity aluminum dust shroud (both also bought from Amazon), the job was done easily and quickly. The grinder did not bog down or overheat in operation.Update: during my second use, the body did get hot enough to be uncomfortable, but I wrapped my fingers on the large switch and used my thumb on the top of the body. Next time, I'll try wearing a glove.

BEST ANGLE GRINDER THERE IS!
This will be the THIRD Dewalt 10amp grinder I own. Yes, they ALL still work! I've been running my first one since 2005. You'll LOVE the paddle trigger and the 10 amp power! I got this as an extra/backup incase one quits working and I also don't like switching out the disks so I just grab the one with what I need... (cut-off wheel, wire-wheel, flap disk) Amazon & Dewalt offer $20 off a $100 dollar purchase a couple times a year and I just snagged this for the Fathers Day deal. Can't beat the price! :)

Does the Job
I have no experience with hand grinders but I wanted one to cut the tops of protruding roots in my lawn. The unit had sufficient power to cut through some hard wood using a carving blade. The only thing I wish I had bought was a model with a lock-on switch. I would have preferred to have been able to not have to maintain pressure on the switch so as to be able to move my hand. If I had to purchase again, I'd get the model with a locking switch. Otherwise it appeared to be of good quality and to perform well. I have only used it for a total of four hours so cannot speak to how it holds up under extended use.

Excellent quality and tough grinder
Excellent medium size grinder. I have abused these grinders and they continue to take the abuse and are very dependable. Much, much better than cheaper grinders. Spend the money, you will NOT be disappointed.

This is the one
You can pay more money for tools, but for value and quality, DeWalt usually wins. This is the grinder you want. It has the paddle switch and is 10 amps.I have two of them and use them daily. Really nice tools.

I love them for the money
These grinders are work horses. I have worked this one hard since I bought it with no issues. My last one lasted 5 years and we beat it to death before the motor burned up. Can't go wrong with these DeWalt grinders. I love them for the money.

its an angle grinder
Never used an angle grinder before. The couple times I've used it have been for cutting cement board and slate, it was really helpful for making good looking notches in slate. Tool is easy to use and a little scary but manageable. :)
