Emulsifying wax is an essential ingredient in creating lotions and creams. Commonly called "e-wax", this product is necessary to blend oils with water. It can be thought of as a sort of "glue" to hold your recipe together. Without it, the oils would separate from the water and not blend. Our e-wax is vegetable based and conforms to the specifications of the National Formulary. It is extremely easy to work with and won't separate during formulation. This e-wax is derived from fats from seasonal vegetables and cetostearyl alcohol which contains a derivative of a fatty acid ester of sorbitan. The first time I used it, I was using a whisk to manually blend the oil/wax mixture and water. It didn't work. The lotion was runny like milk. The second time I used the exact same recipe, same process - mixing at hot temperature and periodically as the temperature went down. And this time I used an immersion blender instead. It worked beautifully! The lotion turned into a soft cream. The texture is perfect. I will buy this product again once I run out, as I'm sure I won't buy hand creams and body lotions from stores any more. Making my own is so easy and end result is better than anything store-bought, thanks to the e-wax.

Great product that saved my body lotion
Was exactly what I needed to re-emulsify a body lotion that I got in Paris. I was afraid I would have to throw the lotion away when it separated. But warming the lotion up over a water bath and adding a little emulsifying wax was I all I needed to do. I hand whipped the lotion as it cooled.

Really good emulsifying wax
Dislike I can't get my lotion to be where I want it but it isn't fault of this wax, it's my portion ratio I like how this makes oil and water blend. If your off you melt just a little more in your recipe and it makes an awesome lotion, blends great.

Great emulsifier.. i tried beeswax earlier and this is way better in creams n lotions than beeswax

Just very disappointed and upset. Money and time wested
I’m giving just one star for now because this emulsify wax came melted and clumps together I can’t even use it to measure for my diy so I haven’t even been able to use I honestly don’t know what to do with it at this point.
