Button is plastic but I smoothed out surface with fine grit sandpaper and even put a matte black base down as I’ve been told a black base will enhance the chrome effect. Well this paint did not work. For starters paint is way too thin. After about 10 coats surface was still too blotchy so I gave up. I finally found an automotive chrome spray that did the trick.
