Beautiful!
I needed something to make the bunny furs I have been tanning soft and supple. This worked beautifully. I added a spray pump top to it so it coated more evenly and then rubbed it in with my fingers. Some of the thicker skins and hides softened right up. Some of the paper thin skins felt less brittle and softer. After a day or two with this on it should soak right in and make the skins so much softer. I did have to wipe off some of the tanning oils I used on the skins to ensure the oils did their work. Smells decent too, did not have a pungent smell like you would think with some oils. Perfect.

!Amazing product!
Used this on a thick leather jacket i have. Was becoming stiffer and the dark color was fading in areas. This loosened up the leather a great deal made it softer and darkened the lighter spots enough that they blend in nicely with the original dark color. I dont think much about any smell the oil may have. My jacket still smells strongly of leather.

Mink Oil Compound? What’s in it?
So, the real reason I wanted to write this review is to try to help clarify what this product contains. I read several reviews stating they were happy with this “100% mink oil - no fillers, nothing added” product, which is absolutely absurd honestly. We’re paying around $12 for this bottle, why would anyone think it’s “100% mink oil”??? Mink oil comes from an animal’s fat, by the way, so it’s not going to be sold as cheap as this product sells for. The key word in the products name and also used by the manufacturer in reference to this product being 100% pure, is the word “COMPOUND”.. When the word “COMPOUND” is added to a products name buyers should immediately know that the product contains fillers and other ingredients outside of the active ingredient the product is being advertised as. When the manufacturer states in this item’s description that this is, “100% Mink Oil Compound” they are stating that this product contains mink oil as the active ingredient PLUS other ingredients (whether they are helpful or harmful or do nothing) along with fillers. Adding “Compound” to the name inherently makes the product unpure or automatically less than 100% pure. Look up the Wikipedia article for mink oil if you don’t believe me, it’s explicitly referenced there. With all that said, I do like this product and I’ve used it on a couple of shoes so far and it has been working great. I did attempt to use it on a brand new pair of black Timberland Pro Irvine Wedge boots and it turned the rag black and stained the white stitching, so it was definitely removing the leather dye. Outside of that though, I think it works great. I only use it on darker colored leathers and will not let it touch any leather medium brown or lighter. I used Bickmore for all of the lighter stuff. I do appreciate the low price of this mink oil compound though and am happily using it, and will likely purchase more when it runs out.

A must have for boots!
I tried other products that conditions my Solovair boots before, but a lot of them didn’t do much to help ease in the process of breaking them in. For THIS mink oil on the other hand has done a lot more to help me break in my boots. It did a WAY BETTER job at penetrating into the leather than any other conditioners I’ve used and it shows better result of my boots feeling softer. Do keep in mind though that like most other conditioners this will darken any lightly colored leather. If you have dark leather or even just black leather like mine this is perfect to use. Overall get this if you wanna get a good conditioner and something that will help speed up the process for breaking in boots in general.

Good product
Works very well on our boots. Would be 4 stars if a squirt top provided. We put this product in the bottle of another for easier application.
