Great at first, doesn't last long. Not worth it.
After installing it, which was quite easy to do solo, the adhesive just about immediately started to break down and let go on different sections. After getting that sorted, about a month or two later it started to get intermittent black screens that wouldn't go away until I physically reset the device. Now it just sits behind the TV unplugged because I got sick of resetting it constantly. I've tried new hdmi cables as well with no luck. It's too bad because the lighting is really accurate and it was really awesome in the beginning. Alas, just ended up being a waste of money. Edit: just wanted to amend my review as I feel it might have been it a bit unfair. While yes, I did experience the above issues. I reconnected it again after it had been collecting dust for several months. It works just fine now for whatever reason and has been fine for nearly half a year. The app and controls over the lighting is great, I really have no complaints.

Worth the effort to get working!
Once setup, this is a game changer to watching TV/Movies - amaaaaazing! I have a 70" and bought the correct size, no problems. I cleaned the back of the set, making adhesion simple and the extra strips ensured it will not come off - easy. Setting up the box was not difficult, but I do understand Audio/Visual. I have a Fire Stick, and Sound Bar. I connected the Sync Box AFTER the sound bar - which then went to the TV. This ensures everything is synced perfectly. Also, when I turn off the TV, the lights go off. The BIG PROBLEM - the APP! There is a QR code to scan - when I did it said the app would NOT work on my Samsun S23 (only a few months old!). I called support and they said it was fine - just use the Alexa App (which I have and use for all my smart home features). They were WRONG! The app needs to connect to Lytimi first to connect to Amazon. Yes, I tried searching for it as a new product - did not find it on Blue Tooth. I called back and the Tech Support rep and I stumbled upon an old Lytimi App (written in Chinese) which I installed (did also have English). This worked! Once setup, it was easy and never has lost connection. To be honest, I'm pretty good on tech. If the app does not work, you'll need to find the Lytimi home app and install it through there. I expect they'll update the listed App soon, but for now - worth it.

Cheaper than Hue
Have been looking at the Hue sync box for a while but the cost of the box plus the strips was just too much to justify as a "fun money" purchase. Have a 49"TV and this kit works pretty seamlessly. After reading a few reviews about adhesives not working well I cleaned the surface with rubbing alcohol before applying the brackets. So far they seem to be holding strong! Is it perfect? No. Is it what I expected for the price? Absolutely. Biggest gripe would be that it seems to be stopping the Roku from displaying when I power everything on for the first time after a while of being off. Have to swap inputs back and forth with the TV remote.

WILL FIT 55” TV’S
This is a great product, don’t let some of these reviews deter you from getting it! I have a 55” tv and was worried when a lot of people were saying it didn’t fit. When installing the strips you basically have to overlap the connection points being careful to not cover up any of the LED’s. Now keeping in mind that a very tiny bit of the connection wires does pop out from my corners as you can see in the pictures but I don’t even notice it, it does not catch your eye anymore than the tv stands themselves do which you can see in the video. In my opinion a small bit that is visible is still way better than having a camera hanging over the top of the screen like the other products on the market. Once the strips were installed I had no issues connecting to the TV, Wi-Fi, or my phone. It was instant. It does give me a pop up telling me to turn on my Bluetooth many times still, but I ignore it because it is actually connected and working. I also decided to not attach the module to the back of the tv and just place it on the stand with the TV. I chose to do that to distract more from the small bit of wire connection poking out. LED adhesive seems quite strong and we will see if it falls but I doubt it will. Also do keep in mind that this does not work with applications programmed on a smart tv. You have to have an external unit such as a cable provider box, Apple TV, or gaming system (Xbox, PlayStation, etc.). Which is totally fine and makes sense, we currently have our Xbox plugged into it. Just buy it, you won’t regret it!

This thing is bad and does not work, DO NOT BUY.
I recently purchased the Lytmi Fantasy TV LED Backlight Kit with high hopes of enhancing my TV viewing experience. Unfortunately, the product fell significantly short of my expectations. The first issue I encountered was with the installation process. The instructions provided were vague and confusing, making the setup far more complicated than it needed to be. The adhesive on the LED strips was weak, and they kept peeling off from the back of my TV, requiring additional adhesive to secure them properly. Once installed, the performance of the LED backlight was underwhelming. The colors were not as vibrant or accurate as advertised. I noticed a significant discrepancy in color reproduction, particularly with blues and greens, which either appeared muted or completely off. The biggest disappointment, however, was the sync feature with the TV content. The lights often lagged or did not match the on-screen action, detracting from the immersive experience I was hoping for. This issue persisted despite trying different settings and adjustments. The accompanying app was another source of frustration. It was buggy and unintuitive, with frequent disconnections and issues in recognizing the LED kit. Adjusting settings or switching modes often required multiple attempts due to the app's unreliability. Customer service was not helpful in resolving these issues. My queries were met with slow responses and generic troubleshooting steps that did not address the specific problems I was facing. In conclusion, the Lytmi Backlight Kit was a letdown. The poor adhesive quality, inaccurate color representation, laggy sync feature, and a problematic app made this product a frustrating purchase. I cannot recommend this product to anyone looking for a quality TV backlight experience.

Eh, works fine as a dynamic light but can't select a static color for when the TV is off
It does a decent job of mapping colors from the screen so long as you're content is coming in through the HDMI cable - if you're using an app like Netflix directly from the TV the colors will change and flash but not in sync with the screen. it took a solid hour to get them to sync to the Lytmi app.. once connected it was horrible. the lights kept losing contact with the app. you can also set them up via the My Tuya app which was a least more stable but lacked a lot of functionality. when the TV is off, you get that same flashing/color changing that happens when the lights are not syncing through the HDMI input. you can't change this to a solid color so that you just have a static glow coming from behind the TV.. it give you the error: "the currently selected mode does not allow to change colors. please select the available part in the Taste Mode". whatever the eff that means... Google Home and Alexa functionality is limited to on and off. definitely a decent product with woefully inferior software/app support

Much better than Govee
I tried out Govee's T2 backlight kit and the installation for that was a nightmare! Took me hours to no avail. The camera could not see the bottom of my flat 82inch for some reason, leading to inaccurancy color readings. Even then the top half didn't register the colors that well. Installing this backlight far more easier than Govee's. The color accuracy is great and it worked out of the box. Although, I did had a snag where the mobile app couldn't register and switch over to my merged 2.4/5 WIFI. After some fiddling, it finally connected to my 2.4 side and completed the installation. Another issue I encountered was the Chromecast, that I was using for the source. I couldn't get it to sync with the TV on/off so it would stay on, and Lytmi's TV sync didn't even show on the app. But had to get a new Chromecast anyway, and I found one that syncs with the TV to turn it self off when the TV is off. The Chromecast I used is a 4K one: [ASIN B08KRV7S22]. Lastly I don't like that the led strips corners can't reach the corners of my TV. It seems that for the best experience, you need to get the kit at the lower end. Overall, it's a great really good immersion, and a addition to my living room. Also it's so much better than Govee, with the only con is that you need an external video source.

Almost perfect.. Fit my 65”
I read a lot of reviews, and just wanted to come back to clarify some things, and share my experience. First of all, I was prepared for adhesion issues with the brackets but didn’t run into any. Idk if it’s because I was prepared, and thus more gentle on them than I would have been.. but none of them popped off while installing the light strips.. even the two bottom ones that are on rounded corners. The brackets are fairly pliable and seem to hold on well enough for me. Much better than the adhesive on my name brand light strips. Overall very easy to install, the setup was straight forward. I love that I don’t have to manage turning off the LEDs, they are off when the screen is off, and the lighting ignores letter boxing which is nice. The biggest reason I’m not giving this 5 stars is because we did encounter HDCP errors after installation. I assumed my setup was incompatible with the box and was about to pull it down and send it back, but I had an additional HDMI cable laying around so I tried it and it fixed the issue. (It’s still hanging down because I need to purchase a shorter one) Another reason is the length of all the cords. None of the cabling is super long, so if you have your tv mounted, you may look into doing what we did and mount the box directly onto the TV. We typically run a center strip down, and since these had to run the lighting from a corner of the TV we had no other choice. The app itself was easy to use, but I would have loved a little more control over customization so I can fine tune it. Pros: - Much cheaper than name brand - Brackets make it easy to install - Lights are off when TV is off. - App is easy to use - Just works on its own after setup - video, audio, or preset lighting modes - works with appletv, Xbox x, ps5, switch and more Cons - Included HDMI is garbage - No ability to fine tune / calibrate - Doesn’t seem to be a sleep mode when no input? - Sometimes is a bit slower to initially display on tv - Color seems a little off at times - Short light / power cables - Only 60hz

Easy to install, transforms your viewing experience completely!
Bought this kit for 55" TV. It appears that the LED strips are just about 1-2 cm too long for 55" TV as I am struggling to find how to hide corner wires behind TV without breaking the LED connections. Setup was fairly simple otherwise. I did, however, encounter a glitch while watching an episode of a TV Series: the video would blink/stop/disappear - then switch back again and that goes in infinite loop while writing a top left corner text Dolby Vision HD then switches to just 1080 HD. On and On... until I exit our from Google TV to Sony menu and back. I will update this review later if this happens again or if I need to request a replacement. The transition from color to color and from On to Off could be a bit smoother for my liking, not sure if this can be adjusted. I run it on less than 100% and it's very bright already. Over all very nice product. Nice package, easy to install, easy to use.

Schade.
