Perfect for work, or play, if you want to hear the world, and music, or podcasts.
Sadly, through no fault of this product, my junky phone refuses to work with it. However, though using a phone that isn't a piece of junk, I've found I really like this product. This is my first bone conductive headset, so I don't have a huge basis for comparison, to be fair, but I can tell you that if you haven't used a good set, and are still using buds, this can be a huge upgrade to your work, or exercise headset. And make no mistake, this is a pretty good set, that feels well made, and very tuff, considering the price point. Often, I want to filter out the world, if I'm just running, but I'll be the first to tell you, that's not always the best, and usually isn't the safest option. With these, you don't loose any ability to hear the outside world. So it's easily the best option while working, and probably the better option when exercising, even though I still prefer to get entirely into my on headspace then. As far as this particular incarnation goes, I've owned a ton of ear-buds, true wireless, and banded like these are, and I tend to prefer the band, because you generally get a lot more battery, features, and ruggedness, for a lot less money. And these don't disappoint me in the slightest in any of those arenas. The only gripe I really have is the loss of that epic bass you'll get from ear-buds with a seal in your ear canal. Obviously though, that's not going to be something you're going to get with anything but ear-buds, a massive home entertainment system, or car stereo. Honestly, I was kind of shocked with how good the quality of bass was for me, with this set, coming from this medium. I expected some tinny noise, and you do get a little, but it wasn't nearly what I expected, and virtually disappears as you increase the volume a little. And that brings me to my only complaint with it functionally, in that it seems like the volume has a tipping point, with not a lot of in between. It's perfectly comfortable at full volume for me, and you can still hear it well at low volumes as it seems ever present even with lots of outside noise, but it seems like you get only a few notches of 'in the zone' variability. This may just be a personal thing, but it is my experience. Other than that, I don't really like the fact that this operates off a dedicated/proprietary pogo pin charger. However, I do understand how much easier that makes it for this thing to be water/sweat proof. So It's hard to count it as purely a negative. Since it's easy to see there's no real point for water, or sweat to get into the device, at all. It's just that keeping up with another 'special' charger is never ideal. Overall, I'd say it's an excellent product, at a really great price point that's worked very well for me up to this point, which pretty much justifies the purchase completely.

Definitely waterproof - great in shower!
I bought these so that I can listen to music or watch a show on my mobile devices while still being able to hear my kids at home or my employees at work. I also got them so I can listen to music or watch my tablet in the shower. I had some "waterproof" ear buds, but I hated them. They would fall out of my ears every couple minutes, and one time that happened shower water sprayed directly onto the speaker that went into my ear. From that point on, I could only get one bud to connect at a time. They both worked - just not together, and I got tired of picking them up from the bottom of the tub and putting them back in 20 times a shower. So I got these bone conduction headphones too replace the crappy ear buds. They stay in place and work great in the shower. Since they are fully contained without any fragile parts like speakers, they are 100% waterproof and work great! Due to the shape, where they go around the base of your scalp instead of on top of it, they don't get in the way much when I'm washing my hair. They're also great for when my son and I are on a long drive, and I wish to listen to music while he watches YouTube or whatever on his phone. I bought my son a kid-sized pair (different manufacturer), and we can hear each other when we need to or listen separately to our own devices if we wish. I do wish the strap that goes around the back of my head were a little shorter so it laid more flush with the base of my scalp. The kid sized one actually fits my tiny head a bit better. However I understand they need to also fit larger heads, and in doing my research of bone conducting headphones before this purchase, I realized that style is pretty much the same no matter who you buy from. Battery life is great - I have made it through an entire day (12+ hours) without having to charge. Noise cancellation is irrelevant, as these type of headphones are made specifically so you CAN hear what's going on around you. My only complaint is that if I have to have them fairly loud due to ambient noise, they vibrate against my skull whenever there's some bass to what I'm listening to. It's an un-nerving sensation like having involuntarily twitching muscles. Turning down the sound a bit helps. It would be nice if there was some sort of app that would let you adjust the bass and treble of the head phones. I guess I can look for apps that do that for the sound on my phone and see if it makes any difference. If so, I'll update my review. It's the only reason I rated them 4 starts instead of 5. All in all a great purchase, at a fraction of the price my mom paid for hers. She's the one who told me about bone conducting headphones and let me test drive hers. She paid $150 for hers, and these work just as well. I honestly don't know if she gets the vibrating issue at high volume, but if that's the only difference, it's too minor for me to want to shell out an additional $100 for. Especially as it's only a problem in certain situations and doesn't occur enough to really bother me. Customer service seems good. I haven't had to use them, but they did reach out to me with their contact info just in case. They did offer a rebate if I left a review, but it wasn't shady. Others try to blackmail or threaten you for a five star review. The letter I received asked me for my HONEST review and offered a rebate no matter what I rated them. They also gave me their contact info should any issues with the product arise. Overall a great purchase at a great price from a company who seems to care. I would definitely buy from them again!

If only I had written this review yesterday...
...this would've been yet another 5 star rating for this headset. I LOVE bone conduction headsets and have bought literally dozens of pairs of these over the past few years. In that time I have learned I must buy ones rated IP68, so that is now the main feature I look for when I need to buy a new set. Usually that is very limiting though for selection; have at times had to just buy direct from the manufacturers in China or India even to find a decent pair that is IP68 and also has Bluetooth connectivity. Believe it or not, the Big Name Manufacturer's sole IP68 rated headset - which would cost upwards of $175-$200 or so mind you - doesn't have Bluetooth because they didn't have the foresight to think someone *might* want to buy a set that is useful when swimming and also when not swimming. After[the]Shocks I had when realizing that glaring ommission, I put my MBA degree to work and deduced that they must be "one of THOSE companies", you know one that is big on "cheapest possible to produce" yet they are selling it then for the highest prices point the market can bear for these headsets. So, no Bueno. And then one day I found These. They had Style. They had Grace. They had IP68 and Bluetooth. And they were even designed (& made?) in Japan, a nation that prides itself on prowess in precision engineering design and manufacturing. And, it seemed it was my extra special super lucky day, because they also had a 50% of coupon to close ck on that day! Woohoo! That was March 2, 2022. They arrived a couple days later, and were just awesome. Maybe my favorite pair I've ever bought. Great sound. Looked great. Super lightweight. In fact so comfortable I've been known to accudeby have them on all day. Fabulous. So in all fairness, I have edited this review on May 17th, 2022, and restored the original five star rating. Yes, I did have a couple problems about which you can read further on down. I'd rather deal with a company that makes mistakes sometimes but when they do they fix it rapidly than a company that I have no idea what to expect fro their customer service people. I had to contact them this past week, again, for the reason s listed below, but their super fast response, with an equally fast replacement product arriving at my house just a couple days later makes iKanzi a company I will trust going foward. Thanks iKanzi! And now for the rest of the original review.... ... March 23rd rolled around, got up and put the headset on. They didn't work. Gut punch. Not happy. Luckily Ana on's return window was still open so they just exchanged them for me, New set arrives April 2, 2022. Happy once again. Today is May 11, 2922. And today, once again, woke up to a dead header. Both sets would charge no problem. Would get the green LED saying 100% charged. Yet again the buttons simply quit working. And just a couple of days past the return window of course. Really, really unhappy. I had needed them today too, not just wanted them.

They are okay for the price
Let me first share that if you have never used bone conduction headphones, be mindful that they are all vastly different from over or in ear headphones. The most significant difference is with base and depth of sound. Having said that, I really, really wanted to like these headphones after reading some of the reviews. Overall, I think they are OK, but they are no comparison to Shokz. I have been using Shokz bone conduction, headphones for about 4 to 5 years, and I absolutely love them. I traveled extensively and have three pairs of them; I have been through a couple of them along the way as well. I recently lost one of my headphones, and thought I would look at some other options. After reading the reviews, I ordered a pair and was hopeful that would be as good as my others; here is what I experienced: Upfront, the most significant advantage of these headphones is the price. They are about a third of the price of of the higher in models, depending on what you get. This was very appealing to me as I figured I could pick up three sets for the price of one or easily replace one that was broken or lost. The headphones themselves are well packaged and appear to be a solid construction. Reportedly they have good waterproof protection, about 10 hours of battery life as per the box, with a two hour charge time. I think all of us would enjoy a longer battery life’s, but in this type of headphones that is about the norm. The headphones paired with my iPhone very easily, and I have to say they actually felt good on, perhaps a little better than my other ones; they just seem to fit a little tighter, and the positioning of the headset felt secure. I have never had any fall off my head, and often just slide them down around my neck when I’m not using them. The pair that I lost was just because I had them in my hand at a large event and lost them along the way. The sound quality itself is not bad. They have a good, mid sound range, and the highs sounded all right as well but overall these headphones are limited in what they can produce on the low end. In my opinion, I would say their quality is not as good as the higher in headphones, but again for the price I thought it was OK, and certainly if people are using these primarily for phone calls, it may not be much of an issue. With regard to sound, as I get asked about my headphones, all the time, I tell people flat out if you were looking for good headphones to listen to music, and you are looking for the best sound, these headphones are not for you. They also do not block out any noise from the environment. This is a great advantage on many levels, but in some cases it may not be suitable. Personally, I have a pair of acoustic earplugs, which I use when I want to turn out the world. These headphones do come with a pair of foam, earplugs, which are easy to get, and they help to block out the outside noise. House with my other headphones, if you put in earplugs, you will get a much better range of sound, including more on the low end. Again, I felt these headphones were OK overall for the price, but still sound quality is a little bit better on the higher in headphones. Like others, these headphones have a proprietary charging cable; bear that in mind, because if you do loser damage your cable, he will not be able to charger headphones until you get a replacement. Also, like others, they are magnetic, which enhances the waterproofing capabilities of the headphones. Well, not a huge problem, the magnet is not very strong, and I found that it is easy to knock off when you set them down. I found myself placing the headphones on the counter, and then attaching the magnet. I have found that other brands have much stronger magnets that seem to just snap into place. The most significant challenge that I had with these headphones is that they are just not loud enough. This too is another typical challenge with bone, conduction, headphones, as volume is enhanced with more traditional style over ear, or inside the ear headphones. However, the volume is much lower than what I am used to, and honestly it is just not loud enough for me. I did play with a Settings on my phone and experimented a little bit to see if I could enhance the volume, but was unsuccessful. iPhones do have a couple of things that one can do to adjust volumes and actually boost it a bit, but still, I was unable to get to a level that would work for me. I even tried the volume boosting app; unfortunately, it would only work with music, and it would need to be downloaded to your device, and I have to say that the boosting app actually made the quality I bet worse but I digress. Again, I do think these are OK overall, and they work for some people who are just looking for an economical headphone to use in some situations. I personally wear mine very often; I travel full-time and often rely on Google maps and audio directions to get me to where I need to be; I need loud and reliable, headphones all the time Good price, OK, and perhaps possible sound quality, but lower than expected value. I am sending them back.

Comfortable, innovative and long battery life
I stumbled upon these Bluetooth headphones when searching for something that didn’t make me deaf to the world. I want to hear when a coworker is trying to get my attention or when a bike is coming up behind me on the trail and these headphones fit the bill. I was curious about the unique bone conduction technology and so I gave these a chance and have no regrets. Because they don’t go in your ear they stay free from ear wax and the sound quality is still surprising good. Note: sound can get interrupted when chewing food or any other extreme jaw movements. Overall I am pleasantly surprised by their comfort, quality feel and long battery life. They are simple to set up and have worked flawlessly so far. I ordered a pair of planatronics backbeat fit at twice the price before ordering these and they stopped charging within two weeks of use. I’m glad I have these and insist on everyone give them a try. I think this headphone tech will have a long future.

Perfect for marathon training
I'm training for a marathon and find bone conduction headphones perfect listening to audio books or podcasts to pass the miles safely on training runs. I like being able to hear when cars or cyclists are approaching from behind me. However, several of the bone conduction headphones I previously purchased stopped working because sweat got into the electronics, even though they were marketed as sweat-proof and waterproof. I decided to get these headphones because the were IP68 rated, meaning they could be immersed in 4 feet of water for 30 minutes. Over the last four weeks, I've used them on all my training runs (4x a week for up to two hours a run) and am happy to report that they still work great! I rinse them off with warm water after each run and they're ready to go for the next day. The audio quality is good enough, I can hear the narrator clearly for audio books and podcasts. They're also light and comfortable, much lighter than my running visor so they don't add a lot of weight to my head. The battery life is good too, I can do several days of training before charging. The only weird thing is the "Power On" and "Connecting" audio prompts, they're in Chinese (or very distorted English). Not a big deal once you know what they mean. If you've every paired a set of Bluetooth headphones, it won't be a problem since pairing is the standard process.

Did not last 24 hours
Well I had honestly hoped that I would be able to give a decent review and that I would like this item but unfortunately this is not the case. This headset is lightweight, it came fully charged too which was cool. Volume is not that loud and if you're listening to anything with bass it will vibrate the crap out of the front of your ears... Which is VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. The audio tone is more of a low end tone even when listening to music if you know it has a really high sound to the song naturally through this headset it's more muffled. In less than 24 hours the had set quit working. It powers on and off at normal volume but once connected to Bluetooth no matter what volume the Bluetooth is at nothing is heard through the headset. It wasn't dropped, it has a full charge and you can't hear anything from the headset. The top hook over the ear does become very uncomfortable and it is not simple to wear this headset if you have to wear glasses or sunglasses that makes it even more uncomfortable.. Depending on the frame arm to your glasses or sunglasses it might feel like you're trying to hold a philly cigar in your ear

Great headphones for running!
I've had these Bone Conduction Headphones for a couple weeks now and so far, so good! I have used standard Bluetooth sports earbuds up until now and when it came time to replace I decided to give bone conduction headphones a chance. I am a trail runner and currently getting ready for a big race (Angeles Crest 100 Miler) and so spent 20+ hours a week on the trails in preparation. I listen to a lot of audio during the climbs to help pass the time, but I also need to be aware of my surroundings (snakes, etc). I have found these bone conducting headphones to be superior to standard in-ear bluetooth ear buds because they sit outside your ear, while actually delivering superior quality audio. So you can listen while simultaneously be aware of other surrounding sounds and people talking. In addition, the three button controls are easily located to pause and adjust volume as needed. I've gotten 8+ hours per charge, so the battery life is good as well. I will call out that the charging adapter interface to the headset is unique, it's not standard USB-C, but the other side is standard USB. It works well, just make sure you keep the cable safe! One last thought: I was initially concerned that these headsets wouldn't handle well on long runs because it's a bit more fixed and stiff that my previous headsets. However, I am happy to say, it sits on the back of my head/neck (fairly big head at 6'1") snugly and has never flown off. So, I am very satisfied with these headphones and would recommend giving them a try.
