Beyond impressed with this item. A real value and it uses your existing key fobs to remote start the vehicle. I was a bit skeptical at first and moderately intimidated when I saw the instructions. They're not necessarily difficult but the steps involved seemed precise and tedious. I figured there was a lot of room for error and half expected myself to screw it up. But to my surprise, I followed the step-by-step instructions carefully and everything worked perfect on the first time and works to this day. Some minor disassembly of the instrument panel is required and a computer needed to program the remote start module. If those don't scare you then this is the product for you.

I’m a professional low voltage installer, I mostly do houses these days but I have a pretty good working knowledge of cars also. Installing this in a 2019 grand Cherokee was pretty easy. Do yourself a favor and watch the programming video. The included written instructions aren’t great. The video cleared up the programming issues for me pretty quickly. There is no real instructions on how to access the dash so I’ll give you some help. This is for a 2019 grand Cherokee, not sure on other models. 1. Remove the side panel in the driver side of the dash. It just pries off and has some clips securing it. That gives you access to the CANBUS connection. 2. Remove the trim piece that goes around the steering column. Again, just a few clips hold it in. Just leave it kind of hanging there. 3. Remove the trim plate around the radio. Start from the bottom and gently pry it out. Only held in by clips. This will give you access to the 2 x 7mm bolts that hold the push to start button in place. And that’s all you need to remove to gain access for all your connections. I had everything wired up in about 20mins. Take your time with the programming and pay attention to the lights on the remote start. Hope this helps!
