Review: Reliable Results with Every Spool! Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Polymaker PolyLite PLA has become my go-to for functional prototypes and detailed models. The consistency in the grey finish is excellent, providing a neutral look that highlights fine details without being overly glossy. What I liked: Jam-Free Technology: I’ve run this through 24-hour prints with zero issues. The heat stability (up to 140°C) really prevents that annoying heat creep in the hot end. Dimensional Accuracy: The +/- 0.03mm tolerance is no joke. I haven't had a single snag or diameter-related under-extrusion since switching to this brand. High Rigidity: This is one of the stiffest PLAs I’ve used. It's great for parts that need to hold their shape under tension. Eco-Friendly Spool: The shift to recycled cardboard spools is a great touch, and the printed scale on the side makes it easy to see how much filament is left. Polymaker is a great filament and is my go to for PLA, PTEG, ASA, whatever. I have never had a bad roll from them and it prints perfectly every time.

See bottom for most recent update - 1st review - First point- excellent material. I used my micrometer and got exactly 1.75mm. Print quality was amazing. And for the 1st 20 percent of the roll I had no issues. But the spool material (recycled cardboard) caused me some pain. I noticed it was pulling hard to spin the rolll and would even make a squeak when the roll moved a few degrees on my spool holder. 1/2 way through a 48 hour print the filament got stuck on the edge of the spool and caused my extruded to stop being fed. Woke up to the attached picture. I live in Arizona so we are the furthest thing from a humid climate. Not sure if I’m the only one with this issue but if you have a complex long print, I wish you luck. Again, great material. Just spoiled too tight. - 2nd review Update - looks like it is user error here and no fault of the manufacturer. i must have looped the pla through one of its own strands on initial instillation. seems to be printing fine now without squeaking and im expecting a good print. changed to 5 stars.

Polymaker PLA filament is easily some of the best PLA out there. The color is consistently bright and really pops on finished prints. Quality has been spot-on—I haven’t had a single issue with extrusion. It runs clean and smooth, making it easy to trust for repeat jobs. If you want dependable filament with great color and consistency, this is a solid choice.

I am new to 3D printing. Probably like quite a few of you, it quickly starts feeling like biting off more than you can chew. I see on alot of reviews there is mention of some quality control issues. So to be fair, I am working with an Ender 3 V2 straight from a vendor here on Amazon. The branded rolls it came with were ok (looking back) but didnt seem to really print well. As I got towards the end of the first roll I naturally started hunting around and found this brand. Not all brands seem to publish any specifications, however, this one does. Seemed legitimate, so I ordered a roll of black PLA first. Printed mostly perfectly fine, however, in my limited opinion the collective consensus is this stuff needs a bit higher temp to work well. After converting my printer to klipper, running through the excellent SuperSlicer calibration configuration, I have now somewhat determined that this stuff largely prints very well. In my case I am using a PEI sheet at 60C, the black and the purple I print at 210C to get it to adhere properly to the bed, and provide that nice finish in the photos. Lower temps, even 5C lower it seems to ball up pretty bad occasionally on the first leading to what I sense as most peoples frustration with this stuff. I did take a while to go through the black and it started spitting up on me at the nozzle. A 6 hour dry in a purpose built dryer (Sunlu Filadryer S2) solved that problem. The Black Panther bust pictured was printed immediately after drying and being fed from a purpose built drybox. Living in the southern United States by the ocean brings a unique challenge to printing as the air is typically 60% RH most of the year, so basically if you're willing to YOLO on a proper storage solution, this brand of PLA prints exceptionally well and consistently. I would say unless you are willing to put the time in on a good chunk of your first roll to really dial in your printer, and not just messing around but really tuning it, this PLA may be a bit tough to get to whip into a usable state. Maybe I dont know any better, maybe I just got lucky. So far though, 2 rolls in and a steep learning curve later I am totally satisfied with my prints now thanks to this stuff. I am sure there are better brands out there, but honestly this stuff meets my criteria of price vs. performance that a 95% stock Ender can even handle well. I will be ordering more. Happy printing!

Prints very well, especially when using the Bambulab filament preset. The filament is more durable than other PLA brands I've used and has such a vibrant color. Supports are a bit more of a pain to take off, but the results are worth it. I'd recommend this filament as a go-to for people just getting into the hobby.

Polymaker PolyLite PLA Nero è una garanzia. Stampa sempre in modo preciso e pulito, con ottima adesione al piatto e finitura davvero bella. Il colore nero è intenso e uniforme, senza variazioni. This is my favorite filament! I design and print HO (1:87) scale architectural models and the Polymaker Cream PLA is my go-to for brick buildings; it's a great colour on its own and an excellent base for painting. In general, all of the Polymaker Matte PLA filaments are excellent - they run very well and consistently through both my Ender 3 Pro and Elegoo Centauri Carbon, through 0.2mm and 0.4mm extruders. The matte PLA hides layer lines very well, with the layers only being visible under certain lighting at certain angles. Have never had a problem with humidity with Polymaker PLA filaments, and I don't take any special precautions to keep things dry -- I store filament in its original plastic bag, with the original desiccant , in the original carboard box. Have had some problems with other PLAs stored this way, but never with the Polymaker stuff. Polymaker also offers excellent technical support, even for items bought through Amazon. I have had some PLAs that did not print well -- Polymaker admitted that it may have been a known issue with a bad batch -- and they replaced them without a problem. Excellent filaments overall and excellent support and service the one time I needed it. Would give more than five stars if I could. Very highly recommended.
