This threadlocker is non-corrosive and is removable with hand tools for easy disassembly. Conforms to ASTM D 5363 AN0311 (Mil-S-46163A, Type II, Grade M). Applied as a liquid or gel, threadlockers are superior to conventional lock washers, nylon inserts, and other mechanical devices because they secure the entire fastener assembly against loosening from shock and vibration by filling the space between threaded metal parts, curing to form a tough, adhesive bond and seal. They also seal the threads against leakage, preventing rust and corrosion. Review: Good stuff - does exactly as intended. Good price point. Helps keep sub 1/4 in threaded metal fasteners from loosening up and backing out. Used on a pocket knife that kept having a small screw loosening. Recommend. Review: Works great - This stuff works great. I use it a lot. It works better than the vibratite brands version and costs less than the loctite brand version. Been using it for years. It’s replaced blue loctite for most things for me. Absolutely worth the money. ## Features - Removable with hand tools for easy dissasembly - Noncorrosive - Designed for fasteners under 0.25 inch - Suggested Applications: Carburetors, relay locks, headlamps, throttle body assembly, body panel mounting fasteners, fine threads - OEM Specified ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000HBGHFY | | Best Sellers Rank | #96,593 in Automotive ( See Top 100 in Automotive ) #88 in Thread Lock Sealers | | Brand | Permatex | | Brand Name | Permatex | | Color | Purple | | Compatible Material | Metal | | Container Type | Tube | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 832 Reviews | | Full Cure Time | 24 hours | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00686226240248 | | Included Components | Threadlocker | | Item Form | Gel | | Item Package Quantity | 1 | | Item Type Name | Threadlocker | | Item Weight | 0.27 g | | Manufacturer | Permatex | | Material | Metal | | Material Type | Metal | | Model | 24024 | | Number of Pieces | 1 | | Other Special Features of the Product | Adjustable | | Part Number | 24024 | | Special Feature | Adjustable | | Specific Uses For Product | Fleet and plant maintenance. | | UPC | 686226240248 | | Viscosity Level | Medium to High | | Volume | 6 ml | | Water Resistance Level | Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Permatex - **Item Form:** Gel - **Material:** Metal - **Special Feature:** Adjustable - **Specific Uses For Product:** Fleet and plant maintenance. ## Images ![Permatex 24024 Low Strength Threadlocker Purple, 6 ml Tube - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91ZlE6xP8fL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good stuff *by J***E on November 26, 2025* does exactly as intended.
