The quality is excellent! It’s not loud at all, there are arrows that direct you how to thread the machine and that makes it really easy to use!

While I gave this machine high marks, we need to be clear on what we are evaluating. This is not a descendant machine of Isaac Singer, who made his precision solid metal machines in Philadelphia. This is a stamped out plastic version made by Kohlberg & Company in Vietnam, the same enterprise that bought out Husqvarna. That is why the Singer and the Husqvarna sewing machines look so much alike. Even the bobbins are thin plastic. With that in mind, I think this machine is the best of the bottom line sewing machines, and it is priced accordingly. My wife uses a Juki for most of her sewing, but from time to time she needs a zig-zag stitch. That’s where the Singer gets used. This is a strong machine for its price range, and it does a good job at mending even thick material. Using a sharp high quality needle is a must with these low powered machines, as is keeping it clean and dust free. The self-feeding needle threader is out of line on many of these machines and is hard to get uses to. It can be realigned by a sewing dealer, but it is very touchy and hard to master. In conclusion, I feel it is the best choice in its price range. I cannot think of any machine that comes close to this machine capabilities for under $300.00.

I’m am very impressed and happy with this machine. Works great. Watched a couple of videos on line to get started because my full size Singer is so diffirent. Love how easy the bobbin goes in. Used it so far to make a couple of couch pillows and did some mending. Next I will shorten a couple of pairs of jeans. Have no doubt it is strong enough for the job!

I had one like this before and I just loved it. It was great for sewing on things that were heavier, pants, or something like that. I really really liked it till my granddaughter broke it.
