for Black & Darks (Formally Black Magic) 1.5L

Used to sell this at an appliance dealer I worked for. It's the best for laundering darks! Makes old faded black clothing look new again!! Some use a second rinse, if the smell bothers you, but my husband and I think it smells fine, fresh. We both have sensitive skin and generally don't like detergents with much fragrance if any but this doesn't bother us at all. A little goes a long way, since its a European product... Won't have all the fillers that most American detergents do. I've used it on jeans, towels, sheets, everything that is color. Really makes a difference on the brilliance and boldness of darks. Black socks that are old and worn even look better. Expensive but worth every penny, when an old favorite shirt looks like new again, awesomesauce. Highly recommend!

You know that the product is good when the lowest review complains about the scent. The scent of the soap is refreshing, the reviewer that left the least stars obviously like their laundry to smell like a dogs back side. The smell is not at all overpowering, if it is; you're using too much. I have 18 black undershirts and they've been washed about 3 cycles each and the black has not faded at all, they look brand new and smell excellent. I'm a male mind you, so the scent is pleasing to both me and the female counterpart. It's a shame that the price is rather high for the amount that is given, however that will not stop me from reordering it, I will definitely be back to get more upon these other two bottles running low!

I love this detergent. I wear a lot of black as I work events. This revives them a bit. :)

Perwoll for Blacks -- my "go to" soap for black washables. I've used it for 5 years and it keeps blacks looking new. I am so happy that Amazon carries it (and, IMHO, that alone is worth enrolling in a "Prime" membership) and I make sure that I never run out. I do have a lot of blacks, covering the full range of fabrics from fine silks to cotton knits. Perwoll does a beautiful job on all black washables. Period. Simply nothing better. Three things to add: (1) watch your settings -- cold water wash, and the coolest possible dryer temperature, will keep your things in the best condition; (2) launder your blacks and darks in a machine without a central agitator but, if you can't, use laundry bags to protect the fabric -- otherwise, the post will abrade your fabrics to some degree; and (3) if you have a grease spot, put a bit of liquid dishwashing detergent on the spot -- dishwashing soaps are specifically designed to cut grease. Hey, I love a great wash product! This one is definitely the greatest.

I love it when I order a product and am blown away by it! This is by far the BEST detergent I have ever used on my dark clothing. I'm pretty fanatical when it comes to laundry because clothing is an investment and should be taken care of properly. I've tried many things, but this one is a keeper. Did it "revive" my slightly faded blacks? Yeah, I think so, but it depends on the type of fabric. It definitely keeps new black clothing looking new, and the scent is very light and clean. Love it!

Husband wears black T Shirts & Lucky Jeans every day. This stuff is unbelievable! Label is in German. So just fill the cap about 3/4 & go for it. I used to use Woolite Dark. This blows it away. No fading at all. Loses a star only due to scent. It smells good. I am just sensitive to fragrance. 5 Stars if it was fragrance free.

I have not tried it yet, it arrived frozen rock solid and that was due to the shipping company without a doubt. From the research I have done I have learned when laundry detergent gets frozen like that it could effect the quality/performance of the detergent.. I will update my review after using the detergent several times on some of my favourite dark black clothes and let you know if it truly works. I have a feeling it is going to work amazingly, it is German and in my experience they do not make garbage that is for sure. Always top quality when purchasing German products.

This is way too perfumey, and honestly when I can find it, the woolite for darks seems to do a better job at colour protection and also odour elimination.
