Sandalwood Aftershave Balm for Men, 4 oz

Great fragrance and fantastic lather

I've been using this almost daily, post-shave, for the past 10 months, it's time to offer my 2 cents. First thing- it works really well at soothing and moisturizing, combatting razor burn, better than any product I've used over the past 4 decades. Second thing- I like the smell, strong enough to identify the scent, lingers for about 1/2 hour. Does it smell manly enough? This is a VERY good quality balm. First, when you order something with. “ Sandalwood “ scent, you realize that there are hundreds of versions of “Sandalwood “. This scent is pleasant and mild. I simply prefer a scent that is more woody, exotic, or Oriental. I also like mine to be a bit more pronounced and last longer. For most folks in North America, this would be perceived as a pleasant, masculine “barber shop fresh” Sandalwood scent. The balm itself is refreshing, non-irritating or astringent, and soothing. It would even be an ideal hand cream. The only reason I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5 was because I prefer a different kind of Sandalwood scent. The quality of the product itself is great. You won’t find a balm of this quality just anywhere.

I love the scent and the feel of the product. I shave only small parts of my face and the rest is covered by a white beard. I use this product on my beard. The white cream blends in with the beard and the scent lasts a long time. I love the scent, and the creamy feel is good on my skin. A small amount is all that I need, so the 5 ounces will last a long time. I am confident that I will buy the product again when it finally is depleted.

Sorry Rocky Mountain Barber Company. Total failure. Not only did 1/4 of the creme leak out during shipping because the top was loose on the bottle, but when I tried to use after shaving this morning, the pump required great effort just to get a few drops out. Could be a great product, but too much disappointment in getting to it. Amazon will replace if I drive three towns away to return it. Not worth the time/cost/effort. Instead will chock up the cost as a learning experience. The aroma is nice - my wife likes it as well - but as said, it is too difficult to use. Anyone considering this would be wise to keep my experience in mind. Again, sorry Rocky Mountain Barber Shop. Nice try, but failed.

excellent product last a long time

So I'm looking for a new pre-shave, shave cream/soap, and after shave balm. My fall-back go to since 2010 has been the Art of Shaving Sandalwood. In the last couple of years they've changed up their formula, and it doesn't have the same long-lasting smell as it did before. What I'm looking for is a scent that people smell and comment on how great it smells, like they did when I first started using AoS products. This product didn't fill those hopes.This after-shave balm is mediocre. Pros:- It has the exact same scent profile as the oil and cream, so you don't have to worry about conflicting scents.- They give you a lot of it in this bottle. I mean, I will probably run out of everything else twice before I use this up.Cons:- The scent, like the rest of the line of products doesn't meet the AoS Sandalwood standard. This stuff has more of a barbasol scent, but added in a hint of sandalwood with a sweet smelling profile. Almost as if you combine barbasol and swisher sweets (small sweet smelling cigars). It's not a bad smell, just not what I'm looking to be my go-to scent.- The scent wears off about halfway through the day. I want a scent that stays.

nice lotion

Very nice balm I used it for the 1st time today(sunday)and I must say I was very impressed it's Smooth and leaves the skin feeling refreshed , the Smell is absolutely incredible and stays for hours(impressed).overall I would say a quality product from a Canadian company....PRICELESS.

Rocky Mountain Barber Company Sandalwood Aftershave BalmAfter being so impressed with how good my skin feels from using Rocky Mountain Barber Company's Sandalwood Shaving Cream I just had to try the balm too.5oz (150ml) Does any other company offer such a sizeable amount in one container? And no, it's not because you need to use more! Believe me, the basic two pumps is more than enough!Just like Rocky Mountain Barber's other shaving products this comes in a gorgeous aluminium container. There's just something about the way these guys package their shaving products that makes them so appealing to me as a man.I wasn't surprised by the quality of this aftershave balm or how well it works, because of my experience with the other products I already use from them, it soothes, it moisturises and keeps my face feeling amazing all day long, as I expected. But a couple of things that did surprise me, that I wasn't expecting, was just how long the aroma of sandalwood lasts on the face. It's not overpowering by any means, it just subtly lingers. Also, I was hugely impressed by how well this balm works into the face. Quickly warmed in the palms and then applied to the face, it instantly absorbs into the skin, no greasy or slimy residue what so ever, just a soft, revitalised and smooth aromatic face in seconds. For a product that contains all natural ingredients this stuff works ridiculously well.I've even taken things a step further over the past few days. I shave at night to free up a little morning time as I leave for work at 6am. So I've actually started applying a single pump of this aftershave balm, after washing in the morning, to act as a moisturiser. And oh man, it's working so well.

Third class balm

I'm cheap and I was fretting about the price for a small bottle. But I like supporting Canadian companies so I smashed the piggy bank and got the Sandalwood balm. Awesome! You only need a small dot on your finger (about a dime). The dispenser puts it right on your finger and doesn't fire it across the bathroom. Work it around on your skin so it warms up and the scent is terrific. I really like it!
