Great Book, 100% worth your money
I would've gave it a four point five, but couldn't. Thoroughly explains the tricks. One of the tricks is described below.Ace MagicHave the ace of spades on top, and have the ace of clubs face up on the bottom. Start the trick now.Pull the ace of spades from the top and put it on the table face up. Then ask the spectator to choose a card. Place the deck on the table, face down. Wait till the spectator is done looking at the card, then tell them to place thier card on the ace of spades. Plac the whole deck on top of the two cards. Cut and complete the cut. Look through the deck, get to the face up ace of clubs and say that the ace of spades have turned into the ace of clubs. Square the deck and fan the cards again and show that the face up black aces have a card between them. Turn it face up. It is there card.

In addition to Joshua Jay's Amazing Book of Cards I also purchased this book as a gift for my 17 year old nephew. This book is not illustrated which was a disappointment. I am a more visual learner. I do believe, however, that the gift recipient will totally enjoy the book. The product was received in a timely manner and was appropriately packaged

Great for learning magic with cards.
This book proved that an old dog or young puppy can learn new tricks. I can't say any more about it except that if you want to learn card magic this is a good teacher.

Well worth the money
So far seems well written and fairly easy to follow. I got the ebook version on my kindle and it works great and creates a nice conversation starter when I am waiting for something and working on different card tricks. I would recommend it for beginners, but try to read/skim through it once before you start trying the tricks. Then get good with each trick before you move to the next; which might require a few tries, but you will enjoy it a lot more and find yourself picking up the tricks faster as you move along. I would also recommend doing like I have been doing and keeping a deck of cards with me. It is easily worth the price.
