SpigenTough Armor Designed for Galaxy S22 Ultra Case (2022) - Black

I've had this on my S22 for a couple of months now, and it's definitely a phone case. Nothing flashy, not the best, but it's gotten the job done thus far. I can easily get it in and out of my pocket, it holds nice in my hands, I like that it isn't too bulky.I don't find myself using the small phone stand on the back much, and when it do it's a bit flimsy and doesn't sit at the right angle, but I can't say I mind this much. I didn't buy this case for the stand and you're better off putting a pop socket on the back anyways.I haven't dropped my phone a whole lot so I can't speak on how durable it is, but the once or twice I have dropped it the case stays on, absorbs the fall, and has left my phone with no cracks or bumps. All in all for the price point I think this is a great phone case if you're just wanting a low profile, simple phone case so you don't have to feel the slipperyness on the back of the S22.

It's 2/20/22 as of writing this review so obviously I don't have my S22 Ultra yet but I decided to buy a good protective case for such an expensive phone. This case feels sturdy and I do trust Spigen as a brand. I've actually been using their Tough Armor case on my Pixel 3 for the past three years and I will say that I've dropped my phone plenty of times and there hasn't been any kind of damage. I will say that the kickstand is a little flimsy though. There have been times when I dropped my Pixel 3 and the kickstand popped off. It was easily popped back in but still, it doesn't look like they've really improved the kickstand for that S22 Ultra case. Still, I would recommend this case for now solely on its ability to protect your phone. Obviously I can't say for sure, how well it protects the S22 Ultra but it's a good case to get if you want to add the protection to your expensive phone as soon as you get it on 2/25/2022. I'll update this review once I get the phone.**UPDATE Feb 22**So I've received the phone early (fedex might have made a mistake to my favor because it wasn't supposed to come in till the 25th). I've attached a few more photos with the phone. I was afraid it would add more bulk to the phone but it really doesn't. The phone does feel protected and it has decent grip as well. So far so good. I'll post one more update once I've actually dropped the phone with the case (which I'm sure I will).**UPDATE Mar 7**So I did drop the case a few times and they were mostly light falls but today it fell pretty hard in hard uneven pavement and I'm happy to say that there is no damage to the phone! It fell screen first but not scratches or anything on the screen.

Not that I'd recommend dropping your phone down 14 flights, ever, but in an amazing feat of engineering and a small amount of luck, my phone survived. I work in the elevator trade, and normally keep my phone in my pocket. The one time I don't, the person next to me knocks it off the car top. Two thuds later, we found my phone by activating the ringer through Samsung. The screen wasn't cracked, only the back case took some cracks. I've used this brand for every phone I've owned, and now am a customer for life. Additionally, and importantly, the CASE also survived, and I'm still using it.

My last phone had a high end case that retails for about $65, whereas this one was less than a third of that cost. It was the OtterBox Defender case, which I would say was the best case on the market. This case has some differences, and some details that may detract certain buyers. First, the fit is very good. When put on my phone, it doesn't have any movement, it's very secure on the phone. I can easily access my S pen. It has a very smooth and fairly low profile. It's not particularly bulky, and the design is very sleek, just like the phone. Honestly, it doesn't even look like the phone has a case on it. But that's also one of the details that I couldn't give it 5 stars for. It's very, very smooth. It's nearly as smooth as having no case at all. The back of it, the sides, it's still very slick, with no design details that would allow you any extra areas to grip the phone. For some people that might not be an issue, the look is great, almost factory, but I use my phone everywhere from job sites, to on the boat, it goes camping, fishing, and to work with me. I desire and appreciate having a little extra grip on my case. The kickstand is small, but it works. You can't really flip it up and use it to help hold the phone, as I've seen on previous cases.Overall, it looks great, it looks like factory. It's easy to look at the phone and not even notice the case is on there at all.Definitely worth the asking price. I'm not sure how well it would hold up to a major drop, I was fortunate with my old phone and case in that I never really had to test it. But of course, if something crazy happens, I'll update the review.For the price, I'm not complaining at all. It's definitely a nice case. I would recommend this case for anybody that wants to keep a very sleek and professional look while having the protection the case offers. Spigen is also a well-known brand with a history of good products, so that's another reason to choose the case.

I am liking the case. It is pretty sturdy and provides a good firm and solid coverage to the sides. Understandably it will add to the weight a little bit but I am perfectly ok with that as I like my phones to feel snug into my palm witha bit of weight. I do not like devices which seem so light that they can easily fall off as the grip then may not be good. To me this cover does help me keep a good grip on the phone when I amoving with it in my hands. I would definitely point out one thing which felt is not much of a useful add-on to the cover and that is the stand at the bottom side of the cover. It is not too strong and somehow atleast for me did not turn out to be too useful. But overall this cover has been useful for me!!
