Adafruit 2 Axis Analog Thumb Joystick with Select Button and Breakout Board

Amazed me how easy it was to use. Was able to get it working in under an hour or two for my university project, which was to make a simple 2D video game. Would recommend for similar projects.

At £7.42, this is fantasticand works just as expected with an ATtiny85. Only using it for full left/right/up/down movements and pressing the switch down. Works fine for that, although I could see detecting fine movements might not be so reliable. Actually mounting the switch into a box could be a challenge. You need some sort of boot and don't expect a seal around the base, as the button and collar are all hard plastic.

Works as advertized, good value the circuit board is not soldered on so you can directly solder it to your own project board.

This joystick worked well, but the dead-zone in the middle was waaaaaaaaay too large for what I was trying to use it for. I would not recommend this joystick for any project where smooth continuous movement is required across the middle of the thumb-stick. I'd recommend Adafruit's mini analog joystick instead of this for that purpose.

Joystick is works great with my Game Pi. Fun project. Arrived on time, well packaged.
