Solid lock with an easily changed combo. I prefer tumbler locks as opposed to those with a dial. Was able to change the lock's combo with a little metal key (key only allows for combo change, will not open the lock). This lock feels sturdy and is easy to roll the combo tumblers.

This is a secure combination lock. I was unable to use my decoder lock picks on it due to the tight tolerances. There are ways of popping it open, but the average mook isn't going to do it. For the price, an excellent value.

They have short comings for daily use in all weather, but those can be worked around. First the brass number wheels tarnish and get difficult to read. This can easily be cleaned off which I do about once a year when I lube them up and get them ready for winter. They will freeze up if wet when frozen, but fortunately they can easily be thawed with boiling water or lightly warmed with a propane torch. Once dry the cold doesn’t matter much. If really gummed up so they’re not relocking a few taps on the side of the lock will get it locked until you can clean it up! Towing as a trailer hitch lock it for hours through a blizzard didn’t change it’s normal behavior. A tea kettle full of boiling water got it unlocked and the trailer unhitched in record time. I continue to get good use out of these year after year!

Our NAVY son is deployed & he asked for this so he loves that him & the other Sailors can pay for it & use my acct to get the stuff they need or want. It takes a month or longer to get to them, but it's ok they are over seas so Amazon is their best way to get what they want & need!

Good sturdy lock. And...no more problems with my stupid neighbor stuffing dirt into the key lock I had.(Yep, hard to believe...had to cut it off.)
