Excellent Product; an essential and convenient connector
After getting my MacBook Air M1 I needed to be able to connect my USB external drives (I have two Western Digital 'My Passport' portable drives, a 2TB and a 4TB). This allows me to connect up to three standard USB devices, PLUS, I can plug in the USB-C charging cable which charges the MacBook Air just as advertised, through the hub.I usually plug the 4TB drive directly into the MacBook Air, and the 2TB (which I don't use as often) into the hub. I also use this to download image filers from my memory cards for my digital cameras. I have cameras which utilize both SD cards and CompactFlash cards, so have had the opportunity to test it with a couple of different card readers and it works great. Also included was a handy little pouch which holds the hub, and has a side pocket for the short cable to keep it safer than if it was exposed.Extremely well made, and looks like it was designed and manufactured by Apple, Inc. for the MacBook Air! I'll be getting a new TV soon, and look forward to using the HDMI connector next! So glad to have found this, and will look for CableCreations products for any such accessories in the future.

Surface Book 2 - Works very well - Great purchase
I recently bought this hub to replace my surface dock 1. (I do not recommend purchasing a surface dock). The reason that I bough this hub is because the surface dock does not supply enough power to my surface book 2 to keep it charged while in use. This hub allows me to do the following.1. Use the original charger that came with the surface book which is 90W rather than the 60W charging on the surface dock. This allows me to keep my laptop charged while it is in use.2. Allows me to run at 2K @ 60Hz. I had to do quite a bit of research to figure out if this would work. The surface book 2 can support up to 2560x1440 resolution @ 60Hz when using a hub. The reason for this is because when using a usb-c hub 2 PCI-e lanes are dedicated to video while the other 2 are dedicated to data transfer. So as long as the display you are connecting is less than or equal to 2560x1440 then this adapter will work at 60Hz. I am personally using a ultrawide monitor that has a resolution of 2560x1080 and it runs at 60Hz.3. still allows for me to be connected through ethernet and be able to plug in my mouse and keyboard.Overall I would highly recommend this hub to anyone that has a device listed on the compatibility list and don't plan to use a display over 2k resolution. Any laptop that is older than about 2019 will not have DP1.4 to be able to accommodate 4k@60Hz. The guild quality is great, it feels very solid. The only complaint that I have is that there is a light that constantly blinks when the ethernet is connected but that is it.

Great build quality, does not work with Dell XPS 15
Got this for my new Dell XPS 15 to work as a mini docking station. My first impression was that the build quality is really great, it has an all-metal case and a really nice weight to it. Unfortunately, the power pass through gave an error with my battery, which doesn't have an explanation, but the best I can find is that it is not providing enough power to the computer. That being said, it may work at a limited charging rate, but I didn't want to risk my brand-new computer battery. Additionally, the HDMI initially worked, but my monitor said it has a corrupted input signal and went to sleep after just a minute. Granted, this could be because I am using a monitor that is a few years old, but my normal USBC-HDMI adapter has no issues, and so I don't know why this adapter does.TL;DR great build quality, I'm guessing this will work great for most people, but it does not work with my specific monitor and laptop. Ethernet works, I was getting 500-600 Mbps.
