If you'd played splatoon 2 and got a little bored after a while, this might be what you need to get a refreshing experience! The gameplay is largely the same, but every rough edge in the previous games has largely been polished off! The gameplay feels more responsive, the weapon balance is alot more fair, and the story mode is incredibly fun! The singleplayer can be a bit hit or miss for some, as its story itself is alot more "style over substance" than perhaps the Octo Expansion DLC in Splatoon 2, but the levels themselves are fun and creative in the ways they use the games mechanics! Anyone whos been a fan of the series for a while will love the lore revealed in the Alterna Logs, and if you just want to feel cool the ending will do that for you. The only other problem is that you may disconnect from games quite frequently depending on your connection. My internet seems fine, but every so often I may see a player drop out of the match or I might get stuck in matchmaking for too long, its not a dealbreaker for me, but some people have had a bit of a rough time. I bought the game again for my younger brother, because he's been enjoying playing on my copy, but because theres no single screen multiplayer he needs another copy to be able to play together with him. I wont be able to give it to him until christmas, but playing this game with friends and family is always a blast, and theres a wonderful community online! And if your someone who played the past games you will know you can’t skip the news but now you can with the text and stages appearing in the top left corner! If your someone thinking of buying Splatoon 3, but don’t know if you should as you already have one of the first 2 or someone who’s thinking of getting their first Splatoon, I say strongly do!
