These things work great. They are easy to setup and range is great. They will pair to both your phone and the wifi hub via bluetooth. The app is great as well. It can directly connect to them if you want, but its even easier to have it just talk to the hub and let the hub manage them all. The hub handles all 6 (I think it can handle up to 10 total?). I put one in my attic. I didn't want to have to climb up there every 6 months to change the battery, so I bought a "Battery Eliminator Replace Kit 1AAA-1.5V" from KAABEE on Amazon and ran a USB cable to a USB power brick in my garage. It's been going for months with no problems.

Have several Govee products now and I love them. Simple, small sensors to put around the house so I can see what the temp and humidity is doing on different days and seasons. I’ve used it in the attack to make sure it’s not too hot to store Christmas decorations in the summer and in the freezer to make sure it’s getting to the temp advertised. Easy to use app, and central WiFi transmitter. They still work if they are out of WiFi range and will connect via Bluetooth when you’re near by. Reading the current temp/humidity is instant- only downside I could say is that it takes a few minutes do download the temp history if you want to look up how the temp has changed over several days or the week. Would definitely get again / will buy more sensors

Amazing product with great app with alerts and tons of information about temperature and humidity. Would be 5 stars if 5Ghz wireless is supported. Its baffling how 5ghz is omitted. Most home Wifi networks use 5ghz as a primary connection and connecting this product is often met with challenges. Especially if you have google mesh Wifi. I needed to create a duplicate wifi network as my home but on my cellphone hotspot just to get these devices to connect to a 2.4 ghz network. Once they learned the SSID and password, i was able to shut off my hotspot and the devices connected to the 2.4ghz band of my wireless. Another option is to go to the furthest corner of your house where only 2.4 Ghz reaches, then connect. Unfortunate hoops to jump through initially, but once connected, they work great! 5 stars minus one star for lack of 5ghz or manual wireless settings.

These are amazing. Without the internet, you can connect to them if you are close enough. With the internet, you get access anywhere. They will show temp and humidity, and you can adjust the settings to get precision with another thermometer you are using. They are battery powered and will tell you when you have a low battery. I use them in the freezer, the house, and outside. Very impressed with the quality and features for such a low price.

I'm extremely impressed with this product. Simple to setup; app is great - love the graphs and threshold alarms. Our winters are extremely cold and we have a well pump house about 100' from the house with a built in heater. One thermometer is monitoring the inside temperature and alerting me if it drops below 30 degrees, which happened once for testing purposes. The sensor connects easily to the gateway inside the house. I use the other sensors to monitor temperatures the outside, in the house, basement, etc. Since we only heat with a woodstove it's important for me to know how well the air is circulating.

I needed a way to monitor the temperatures inside my house. In the winter it is important to know whether the boiler is working to keep the 40 below outside temps from doing damage should the furnace stop working or not keep up. This system of thermometers is not intrusive and keeps me notified at a glance on my phone! And they are accurate as well! Plus I can download data from the cloud going back 2 years should I need it.

We wanted to keep track of temperatures with some outdoor animals and have some ability to do trending over time. This system gave us everything we needed and was very simple to set up with the downloadable app. The individual temperature units are battery powered and communicate to an AC powered base station that we then have WiFi connected so it can talk to the GOVEE cloud. We maintain it on a separate wireless network so it doesn't "see" the normal WiFi that the rest of the house is on.

I bought a pack of these for monitoring my deep freezer and 2 refrigerator freezers. They seem to be working well so far. I also encountered the problem with constant low temperature alerts because -4° is the lowest that the alert can be set. It would be nice if the sensors were rated for lower temps and the alert could be set at a lower temp. I “recalibrated “ the sensor +5° above the actual temp so that it wouldn’t read so low and give me the frequent alerts and this seems to be working so far. I’m anxious to see how the sensors work long term being at the low end of their working range, and also wondering how long the battery will last in the cold. It would be nice if Govee made a product that had an external sensor that could be kept in the freezer while leaving the battery out of the cold. This would also get the wifi/ Bluetooth receiver out of the freezer and provide better signal strength.
