Für seinen geringen, dem einfachen Aufbau aber angemessenen Preis leistet dieses funktionale Feuerzeug erstaunliches. Aus meiner Sicht ist eines der wesentlichen Benzinfeuerzeugmerkmale ein geringer Verdunstungsverlust bei Nichtbenutzung. Wenn der Tank nicht ganz befüllt wird (sonst läuft Benzin beim Hineinstecken des „Zündholzes“ heraus), fasst der Tank mind. 4,4ml, festgestellt durch Wägung und Umrechnung mit Hilfe des spezif. Gewichts (ca. 0,85 g/ml bei Waschbenzin). Nach 1 Woche liegt der Verdunstungsverlust fast bei Null, im Bereich der Wägeungenauigkeit. Dies liegt daran, daß der Tank nur eine rel. kleine potentielle „Verdunstungsritze“ hat, die mit einem O-Ring wirkungsvoll abgedichtet ist. Ich gehe davon aus, daß eine Tankfüllung bei Nichtbenutzung mehrere Monate hält, mein schon ewig auf dem Markt befindliches Kultfeuerzeug hat mich hier voll enttäuscht, nach wenig mehr als 1 Woche ist die Tankfüllung verdunstet. Nervig, die ständige Nachfüllerei, das vergisst man auch schnell mal, Benzin muss immer in Reichweite sein. Gut wäre es, wenn neben dem Ersatzdocht für alle Fälle vielleicht eine Ersatzdichtung mitgeliefert wird. Mehreren Berichten zufolge soll das Feuerzeug (bzw. baugleiche Fabrikate) teilweise erst nach mehrmaliger Betätigung zünden. Das mag daran liegen, daß beim Zündvorgang der feuchte Docht über den Feuerstahl schleift und diesen befeuchtet. Da hilft bei mir, dass ich den Docht unterhalb des Stahldorns etwas wegbiege. Das brennende „Zündholz“ hält leichtem Wind locker stand, die Flamme ist sehr groß, Pfeife, Grill oder Lagerfeuer schnell angezündet. Da die Flamme vom Benzinvorrat innerhalb des Streichholzes zehrt, brennt sie kürzer als bei „normalen“ Benzinfeuerzeugen, aber meist ausreichend lange, ggf. steckt man das Zündholz kurz in den Tank und zündet nochmal. Bedienung und Befüllung sind einfach. Wird es nass, wischt man den Feuerstahl kurz ab und los geht’s. Dies sind weitere gute Eigenschaften vor allem bei Outdoorverwendung. Das Design ist eher einfach, klein, funktional und der Zündholzgriff durch einen wegklappbaren Bügel geschützt. Die Befestigungsmöglichkeit z.B. am Schlüsselbund oder Hose sieht robust aus. Ich meine, die Konstruktion ist gut durchdacht, ohne Schnickschnack, das Teil wird seiner Bestimmung gerecht. Wer ein solches ewiges Streichholz vorher noch nie gesehen hat, ist vom Showeffekt überrascht. Ich würde es wieder kaufen.

I love these little petrol match lighters. Of course, some safety awareness is required to use them, because, as some reviewers seem to not understand, petrol is flammable. They seem to not understand that sparks and petrol create, yes, you guessed it, FIRE. Really, what did they think was going to happen? Of course they are dangerous,..... in the hands of a moron... Anyway, you put some petrol in the hole, then screw the match into it and forget about it until you need a flame. Them for the people who can't figure things out for themselves, do this: Hold the striker part in one hand and , holding it with the he pointing to the sky, that's UP, OK?PUT YOUR THUMB OBVER THE HOLE. (This will stop any leaks AND and chance of a spark igniting the fuel inside the box. Make sure the box isn't saturated with fuel, If it is, put the match back, and dry it or just wait a few minutes. So, you now have the box in one hand, thumb over the hole and the match in the other. Strike the match over the tongue that runs along the whole side of the box, steadily but sturdily Might take 2 or 3 goes, but eventually, it will spark and, hey presto, fire. When done, blow over the flame and once extinguished and quickly put back in hole and screw shut. Done. It is not difficult but if you can't master it, maybe you really shouldn't be allowed to play with matches of any type. Or be allowed out on your own even. 5 out of 5 stars.

L'aspect "vieilli" rend mieux en photo qu'en vrai, une sorte de peinture effacée au rendu un peu étrange vu de près, mais ça plaira à certain.es, ça passera pour les autres. Comme indiqué dans un commentaire il vaut mieux gratter d'abord la pierre sur le côté avec une lame, je crois qu'il y a la couche de vernis final qui est restée dessus et rend très difficile l'allumage. Une fois fait, c'est un coup de main à prendre mais ça vient assez vite, il faut juste aller plus loin qu'avec une allumette classique. Contrairement à d'autres commentaires par contre, aucune fuite, ni évaporation, au point qu'il reste dans un sac et même après plusieurs mois je peux toujours l'utiliser sans avoir à le recharger d'abord. Le vissage de l'allumette dans le réservoir bloque parfois et dans ces moments-là peut-être qu'il n'est plus étanche. Attention il y a assez peu de bourre à l'intérieur, ne mettre que très peu d'essence sinon toute l'allumette sera mouillée d'essence et pas juste la mèche.

Aunque me gustan y uso mecheros de gasolina antiguos ,este aún siendo moderno es muy útil.
