It attracts all the birds we like
We buy this every 3 to 4 months.The birds that we like come to it readily.It attracts downeys, titmice, chickadee's and nut hatches.

Great price and good quality
The birds love it, and I like it because it's a little easier to handle than other brands. I have a drilled-hole feeder than I have to hand-fill, and this is a little less gooey/sticky. I like the way the tray keeps it together.

Best "all season" suet for Woodpeckers!
Woodpeckers really seem to love it! Especially Downey Woodpeckers! There are alot of Woodpeckers near me. Downey, Red bellied, Red headed, Northern flicker and Hairy Woodpeckers to name a few. I've seen them all on this suet! Sparrows do like it also but not as much as some other brands or "seasonal mixes". I'll be sticking with this for now as out 3 I've tried this one seemed to attract less house sparrows etc.

They like it, Hey Mikey!
Three different breeds of Woodpecker, along with Chickadee's and Nuthatches are always arguing over who gets priority on the feeder. But they all avoid it when I set up a camera. (Le sigh)

Birds don't prefer it
Summary: the birds don't like it and neither do I.1. I have 3 suet feeders so I bought two 10-pack cases of Heath, a 20-pack case of Wildlife Science, and a 20-pack of St. Albans Bay. To test the three products, I put this Heath suet in one feeder, Wildlife Science in another, and St. Albans Bay in the third. The birds chose not to eat the Heath cakes until the other two were almost gone. They really did not prefer it.2. The Heath cakes are densely filled with seeds, the birds do not prefer that.3. The Heath cakes are crumbly and barely hold themselves together.4. The packaging, a hard plastic case with an impenetrable cellophane cover, is impossible to open without a blade to cut the cellophane. This is especially true if you already handled a cake and your fingers are even slightly greasy. Compared to the easy to open Wildlife Science and St. Albans Bay packaging which tears open easily, the Heath packaging is completely unacceptable.
