It really helps to read all the details of a product before you buy it, and especially before you try to install it. I spent a few hours trying to install these buttons. It would have gone smoothly, but I had problems with the R&L buttons. After struggling longer than I care to admit, I checked the item description and discovered the problem. Not all the buttons are compatible with BDM-030 model. I say not all because the D pad, options/pause, share, and symbol keys (✖️⭕🔼⏹️) DO work. The item description has pictures on how to identify the model without taking it apart first. The installation process was easier than I expected I replaced the shell and buttons on a switch controller and found this one easier. There's an insert that leads you to their website that has 'how to' videos. They are easy to follow and easy to see. If you aren't comfortable with small and delicate pieces, this may not be a good project for you. I don't think you need to have much mechanical skill to do this. They provide the tools, extra screws, and the video points out the pieces and even describes which way to operate the screws. (If you have a model -030 and are replacing the buttons that do work, the video works for the most part, there were a few discrepancies but it's easy to figure out) The color is fantastic! Everything fit (that was supposed to it you had the right model) and looks great! My only wish is that the symbols were on the keys similar to the stock buttons. The picture of the controller has another piece that matches, but it's not included in this set. The second picture is comparing the R2 buttons and how they are slightly different.

The buttons are very easy to install. My only suggestion when buying is to check what controller you have. In some cases, the trigger buttons don’t fit my controller. Luckily the company has a place on their website to check if your controller works with their buttons. I will be purchasing again :)

Update: after just a few days the right trigger squeaks pretty badly, something the original trigger didn't do. I dunno if it's the type of plastic that they use or something but it's really annoying, will likely revert back to the standard Second Update: after a small amount of time the chrome is starting to rub off from the right trigger. I don't even play that much, maybe a few dozen hours in total use and it's coming off, revealing a white ugly plastic underneath. Look for a better manufacturer for this product (Sorry about the picture, the Amazon app is pretty poor) Old review: First off, the instructions were not included but they linked to a website which has videos and they are thorough enough to follow along. It does require a little bit of being technical and the picture I took includes the red bottom trim as well, which is why I didn't put in the red PlayStation button, it looked better with the original black. I wish the buttons had the labels on them but they look good regardless. Overall they look and feel very nice and together with the trim they look great! They're very well cast, the tolerances seen pretty close to original manufacturer spec and they are awesome, heavily recommend these!

Purchased the newer (2024 release) PS5 Chroma Pearl controller and wanted to mod it with chrome pink buttons and plates. While installation went well and what I installed works perfectly, not every piece is compatible with the newer controllers. The shoulder pieces for L1, L2, R1, and R2 will not fit correctly, as the inner pieces that snap together are too large. The linked video for installation is also for the older controllers and the inner workings are not the same on the new controllers. You will need to consult a video for a the newer model to piece things together. Having said that, I can live without the shoulder buttons being chrome pink. The rest of the controller looks great! I’m very happy with the finished product. Having a custom controller feels really fun. Just adjust your expectations when trying to mod a newer controller with this set.

I love the look easy to install they a YouTube video on a full breakdown of the ps5 controller.. (Youtuber. Restore Technique or Gamer2Know) or just type in how to take apart ps5 controller .. a lil more work to take off the L2 and R2 buttons once you get used to it your good 👍🏾 update if you have problems in game with the controller the L2 and R2 may not be out all the way so you have to pull them out a lil or just do change them out I put the old ones back in and it works fine now

Using this in combination with another button replacement on a PS5 camo controller. Loved the tools and extra screws they sent as well. Looks amazing except the R2 button (1/2 I needed to replace from damage) is a like tight so it doesn't spring back. And the L1&R1(other button I need to replace) are not made for PS5, the molds are incorrect maybe other PS5 Controllers or PS4... So the L1 & R1buttons won't work. Other then that they look awesome...reaching out to see if I can get replacement buttons that work. Will update to 5 stars If I can get the right buttons.

So this may not be the easiest upgrade for a non-technical person so understand what you are getting yourself into. My controller is a Volcanic Red 5th gen BDM-050. Fortunately, I customize/rebuild controllers and consoles so it was very simple. Make sure you know the controller BDM number and invest in a good tool kit. Do a search on Amazon for “PS5 controller/console toolkit. Take your time, pay attention to detail, and if you lose a trigger spring, don’t worry, they sell them on Amazon too. I charge $100 and up to solder so make sure to be careful and not snap soldered wires or you’ll be buying the soldering kit learning to do it yourself, or paying a nice guy like me to repair it for you. Also, if you finish the install and find that your controller is making that infamous “ticking” noise, it isn’t broken. The gears to the vibration mechanisms have to be put into the correct position. Turn the gears until you get the correct position. Once you get the correct position, the ticking will stop. The gear position will be the same for every PS5 controller. They don’t show it on the YouTube videos so play with the gears until you get it right. Good luck

Great kit but MAKE SURE you put the triggers in correctly - they can lock in without being set right. Make sure you have full range of movement and no wobble otherwise you'll have to take it all apart again. The process is more complicated than what people say but it looks great and is worth the trouble. Keep all screws separate as there are different sizes even though they look the same.

they feel good and looks great on a black controller. I like the feel and look of it but for buttons they are expensive I think. Overall I like them.
