Update 10/10/24: No more leaks since last update. I'm starting to depend on it and take it for granted. The convenience alone makes the extra work to fix leaks well worth it. I still can't understand why anyone would consider a manual reel. Update 9/26/24: Sprung a leak in the swivel joint on 3rd use! It was easy to take apart and replace all the o-rings with new ones with some silicone grease. First I thought it was the 2 o-rings in the middle of the swivel housing but noticed the leak was coming from the shaft as it bolts into the center of the reel. Was able to see pinhole leak with normal tap water pressure and then noticed the inside o-ring was mangled. Removed the shaft and replaced that o-ring as well as adding a healthy dose of teflon tape on the shaft threads. All is well now and I appreciate how easy it is to service most of the unit. I do worry about the proprietary quick-connect extension and hopefully that stays leak-free for a long time. Original review: Finally got all the fittings in to connect the Adams 1/4” 60ft steel-braided superflex hose (which is also amazing). Works perfectly and no leaks. Reel can accommodate 60’ hose easily with enough tension to draw the entire line into to the roller feed. installation was a breeze and definitely recommend lag bolts since this has a bit of heft to it. Jumper hose is quality and appreciate the swivel. It’s working very well wall mounted with an Active 2.0 pressure washer. The ratchet is smooth and very quiet compared to oldschool reels I’ve used in the past for air lines. It’s such a convenience to have and definitely recommend. Hoping it holds up well to abuse..

I bought this sometime back because I was tired of my pressure hose being on the floor or having unravel it when I failed to put it back its holder. This reel keeps the hose tightly wound and in place. It appears to be a good quality because I've used it every week for several months and I've had no problem with it. It was back up on the hose fairly evenly, but I used to give it a little help mainly because I don't want to let the hose go and damage the reel. The gears click loudly as you pull it out, but it's a minor annoyance so I did not ding the product for it. I would buy it again.

Great so far, only issue is, it makes a weird noise when I roll it out with the pressure hose. I'm using the uberflex 50ft hose and it fits. Feels like the inside of the mechanism is going to fall apart from all the tension. No leaks or anything. It's doing it job after a week use. Will update if it gets worse due from all the reviews I seen so far about the longevity of it. Update: July4th 2025- after 8m of use. It started leaking. Easy fix tho. I just needed to change the rubber O-rings. It's a hassle to take apart and put back together especially if it mounted in my van. After changing the O-rings. Everything works fine. No problems. Will update if anything else happens

The short pigtail connection (the swivel) hose going to the reel is tight, thus the pigtail hose rotates when the reel rotates, causing it to kink. Defeats the purpose of the swivel. other than that it is all good. very good, high quality, industrial grade for my house.

Having 100 foot of hose is great. I mounted right above the power washer and now can pull the hose out, do my thing and then let the reel retract it back in. Great!

after a year, the spring stretched so much it wont retract the last 10 feet of my 50ft pressure washer hose. dont buy this crap

This was recommended by Keav ("Cars with Keav" on YouTube), so I assumed it must be great. However, the U pipe was not tight and would have leaked as is. I had to figure out a way to get pliers onto the fitting without taking the entire reel apart (not easy). Then I got it all together with the hose wound and the included short jumper hose was leaking at the 3/8" NPT fitting on the brass swivel. The included pipe tape is awful. You can see through it. I have literally never seen pipe tape so cheap. I used it anyway because my good tape was upstairs. It leaked. I tightened it more. It still leaked. I took it apart, removed the junk tape, and used my own pipe tape (about 6 times around) and retightened it. It leaked, but a little less. I cranked it down about as tight as I could possibly get it. It still leaked. Only small drips, but still leaking. So I did some research and found that I may have better luck using a pretty expensive Locktite sealant ($16 for a small tube). So I ordered that and will try it when It gets here next week. It's always leaking from the same spot on the top of the swivel fitting. So I assume there's a defect in the threads of the female side of the swivel fitting. Hopefully the thread sealant will fill that defect gap. It's unfortunate that I'm having to do this much work to make this reel function properly. Maybe I should have gone with the manual Cox reel I was looking at instead. Oh also, the rollers are a bit loose and they rattle every time my pressure washer starts or stops. It's happening when the pressure in the hose changes abruptly so I don't think there's a way I could fix that. Maybe if I take the rollers off and wrap something around the bolt so the rollers are not so loose. One more thing... the included ball stopper is sized for a 3/8" ID hose. Since I am using the Active 5/16" Hose, it's too small so the ball stopper won't stay in place on the hose. I was able to wrap a little Gorilla Tape to get it to hold. But I am probably replacing the hose with a McKillans 1/4" hose next week, so I will need to find another ball stopper that fits properly. Keep that in mind if you are using something smaller than a 3/8" hose. It seems like it will be decent when I get the small issues resolved. The build quality is pretty good otherwise.
