I will relay this to our team. Model UC-PS38 Pro has a CFM of 950. **Q: Is it more noisy if the duct is adapted to a 4 inch?** A: I doubt you will get answer to that since I doubt anyone would try it at all. You need a 6 inch duct to actually get the 950 CFM benefit. You may as well just buy a lower CFM brand/model using 4 inch duct. **Q: What's the exhaust duct size?** A: The hood is equipped with a 6" duct attachment. I would only suggest going bigger should you have a long run and /or many 45 degree turns. I used 8" duct with an adapter on the hood outlet for an eight foot run with three elbows. The back mounting screws are hard to access because of where they are located. Just a bit too close to the fan assemblies. Once installed and setup it works great, not any louder than my previous otr microwave. We regularly sear steaks and wok cook with 20k+ btu burners and this guy sucks the smoke right out of the house. It doesn't have any motion controls like some of the competition and the clock loses time surprisingly quickly somehow. When it comes to what matters though it's great. Great suction, nice to look at, sticks out a bit more to catch the smoke which is great.
