Right tool for the job.
I thought this was kind of a sucker buy when I saw it as an add on to the heater elements. However, it really it a great tool for the job. I replaced both the heating elements in my hot water heater using this.

What can you say about a wrench! Item delivered as stated and within timescales.
What can you say about a heavy duty wrench! It was delivered within timescales. Did the job of removing an old heating element and fitting the replacement. I didn't have the right tool for the job so that is why I bought this item. Did its job perfectly.

Easy
Don't pay those outrageous prices for a repairman, If you have basic skills and common sense, such as shutting off power, then this installation was easy, no problems, I replaced both thermostats, upper and lower heating elements, les than $60.00 bucks, cheaper than the service call.

I tried to hammer it down a bit in an attempt to get it to fit better to no avail
This thing wasn't even close to fitting well. It was so loose that I could move it back and forth and it was just barely catch. Well once you put any kind of torque on it it just gives up and spins. This happened on the old one and the new one. I tried to hammer it down a bit in an attempt to get it to fit better to no avail. What I did was go to the auto parts store, buy a 38mm axle socket and ratchet. Problem solved. This was a waste in money and time.

Worked well
The tool worked well for removing and replacing the heater coils. But when the water was turned back on the 10 year old tank started leaking. Bummer to say the least..........Ended up replacing the entire tank.

Like Iron girl said
Like Iron girl said, you get what you paid for. This tool is not sturdy enough to break loose elements that are rusted or corroded in place. It is too large to snugly fit a 1 1/2" element in order to exert much force.Buy Camco 9953 instead and save yourself time, money, and frustration. You are going to have to buy it anyway.

Looks Easy
Didn't work because of size. Nice enough that I just kept with my tools.
