Spam Musubi Sushi Rice Press

My 10yr daughter inherited one of these from an aunt. Being a wanna-be minimalist, I was none too please to have yet another gadgety thing to store, nor was I wanting to encourage more Spam consumption, but the Spam cravings are strong and I am weak. It's easy enough to use: pack your rice, and some Spam, a little more rice... Haoule hint here so take it with a grain of salt, but go get some proper sushi seaweed, the kind in the large sheets. We've used the seaweed from Costco in the small trays, but I've been told it's not nearly as good. Okay so, easy enough to use. Now, onto it being a good gift. These days, I try my best to buy the kids' friends gifts they can actually use or consume instead of the usual junky craft kit or stuffed animal. I'm thinking about landfills here and also, it feels good to surprise and delight. For a recent party, we learned the "birthday girl" liked Spam musubi so put together a gift bag with one of these presses, some microwave sticky rice, a couple tins of Spam and a package of good seaweed. Not gonna lie, I was a little worried this was might earn me 'The Tackiest Mother Award,' but guess what, it was her most favorite gift or at least that's what she told us...

I love everything about this product except its slightly longer from the size of the spam. I had to cut it down to size to fit perfectly. Otherwise everything else is as described. Looks clean, sleek and easy to clean. Price is reasonable and functions as directed. Easy to use.

Haven't used yet but good quality and won't break easy

So far so good. No surprises, seems sturdy enough to last quite awhile.

I waited so long to have it only to have it cracked :( i can still use it but just made me sad. Ordered it May 5 and got it May 27.

I very much like the product. Quality made. Very useful if like spam musubi.
