Exactly what I needed, not necessarily right for every situation.
Needed this to make sure night meds weren't at risk of overdosing for a loved one with some mild memory care challenges. This med box is great to make sure the meds are dispensed on time and nothing extra gets dosed accidently. The key locking lid is espically nice for making sure the lid doesn't come open except during loading. But it could probably be pried open if someone wanted to. So possibly not a good match if severe behavioral/memory issues are a concern.Monitoring and early doses can be dispensed via Bluetooth but cannot be done at distance, so if you need to monitor remotely this is not the right product for you. There is at least one that looks similar with wifi that might be a better fit (at twice the price, but being able to buy some peace of mind is nice). The alamm is loud enough that it cannot be ignored, so long as the person is within an average sized house without background noise. Any household fan on high can cover the sound, so it is a good idea to have a secondary alarm if hearing issues are a concern. Or if the person spends significant amounts of time away from where this disk is stored. The app is easy to use for anyone comfortable with basic smartphone apps. Not a good idea for people who are not comfortable with learning newer technolgies. Probably not for people who are technophobes or never figured out how to program their DVR. But it is much easier than a VCR so if you were ok with that, you should be ok with this.If you don't have a smartphone I think there is a way to manually set up the clock/alarms but I haven't done it. And then early doses cannot be dispensed either. So you are stuck on the schedule. So be prepared for some limited functionality if you go manual.

Nice product but must Download app to customize volume settings.
Was not aware an app must be downloaded to adjust the alarm volume. Product is nice and functional. I returned it as my Mom takes several pills at each time interval. Container must be turned upside down to remove the pills. This is difficult for someone who has arthritis and is only able to swallow 1 pill at a time. Risk of pills being dropped on the floor.

Stoped working after maybe 4 months after purchased.
I really liked the app and how practical it was, however, it stopped working a few months after I purchased. It doesn’t move on to dispense the next dosage. So you have to manually open the device to get get the meds and it defeats the purpose of having an automatic pill dispenser. I also purchased it for safety reasons as I don’t want children opening it and consuming the medicine. Having it always open Defeats the purpose.

Great for compliance.
Since I started using it, my medication compliance has been 100% I've been telling everyone that I know who are on meds about it. I'm going to show it to the folks at the transplant center. I love mine. The app is simple to use. The key is a bit tricky at first but the fact that it completely fixed my compliance.

Terrific Device!
I’m 54 years old with memory issues and multiple medical problems. I have been increasingly absent minded when it comes to taking my medications. This initially took some figuring out as to how to set it up correctly. Don’t bother downloading the app for it because that just confused me more. After taking the time to get it set up properly, it is proving to be an EXCELLENT tool to aide me in medication compliance. I am an OT and wish I’d known about this a long time ago when I was working with my memory care families and patients. It does require higher level cognitive skills to set it up for the week so caregivers may have to do this for the primary user. I got the higher end device simply because I never know how many medications I’m going to be on. It’s pricey but in my opinion, well worth the cost.

Terrible purchase
First off, nowhere on the site, did it say that the app may not be available in my region. When I tried to download the app, however, that is the exact message that I received.Secondly, the batteries that came with the product died within the first few days. Meaning that my elderly relative was unable to access their medication’s. I had to drive two hours in order to replace the batteries. New batteries were replaced the device continued to have error messages or to lose time.Another issue was that the pill compartments were small so if a person has many medication’s or large pills, they are difficult to access. The pills would get stuck and my mother couldn’t see well enough to know that they were still in there.
