AFI, Madison Queen Solid Wood Panel Headboard, White

Walnut wood headboard was exactly what I was looking for to go into my teen boys bedroom. The price was unbeatable and I was impressed with the quality. Very easy assembly. No damage and was delivered quickly. Love it!

This is a very nice headboard. Very heavy high quality hard wood that has a really pretty finish. There are a couple of rough spots in the wood, but nothing that's noticeable. It's also very easy to put together. It comes in 3 pieces so you just have to attach the legs which my husband did in a matter of minutes. He had a little trouble getting the holes to match up on one leg, but he was able to do it with no real problem.

Bought this to add a headboard to the full sized bed in our guestroom. It comes in 3 pieces; two legs/sides and the middle section. the legs attach to the middle with long bolts that thread into rounded end nuts that you insert into holes that intersect the bore for the long bolts. Getting the bolts to thread into the nuts is tricky because the nuts have a round body that wants to roll around in it's mounting hole when you try to get the thread started. Also, the hardware is cheap, pot metal and threads will strip at the tiniest amount misalignment. I was wondering why they provided extra nuts and bolts and now I know why. I stripped one bolt and nut trying to get the thread started. Do not "caveman" this assembly. If the bolt doesn't thread instantly, back it out and try again. And again. Assembly took me about 30 minutes. The trick is to use a magnetic screwdriver or magnet on a stick to hold the round nuts steady so you can thread the bolts in. Took me 20 mins to figure that out but after that, assembly was done in a couple of minutes. The holt holes on the legs where you attach it to the bed frame lined up just fine. Oh, hardware for mounting the headboard to the frame is included as well. In the hardware pack you get 5 long bolts/round nuts for assembling the headboard (you only need 4 of each) and 5 shorter bolts/washers/lockerwashers to mount the headboard to the frame (only need 4 of each). The fit and finish on the headboard is decent enough. It's a "3 feet away" piece of furniture. Looks great from 3 feet away. Any closer than that, and you can spot little imperfections in the finish. Nothing major but perfect it isn't. If this was a $400 headboard I'd probably send it back, but at this price it's nice enough. It's absolutely good enough for a guest room

I truly can't think of anything I've regretted buying more (online or in person more). If I didn't have a 3 year old begging for it to be put together I would have put it right back in its box and tried to figure out how to ship it back. It is truly an awful piece of 'furniture'. I guess this falls under the 'you get what you pay for category' because while I didn't pay much relatively speaking, I certainly didn't get much either. The packaging was fine, a box within a box. It came with 3 pieces (headboard, 2 legs) plus a box of hardware. The first thing that I notices is that there were a number of cracks on the front and back of the headboard. I probably could have made due with ones on the back-but the ones on the front are completely noticeable. The installation was *relatively* easy-I put the legs on wrong 2 different times. That was my fault, not the products. On the bright side it was only undoing 4 screws each time. I bought this to attach to an existing metal bed frame, which I checked to be possible before buying. It attaches, barely, and is incredibly flimsy. I did everything I could to get the holes to line up to the frame and to make sure that all the bolts were tightened. I did not feel that this piece was secure enough to be placed even 6 inches away from the wall, so I had to reconfigure my daughters room (didn't want the register being covered) to make sure that this headboard was against a wall. I am embarrassed. Embarrassed for having bought this, and for the company that they would even sell this to customers. Had I seen this in person I would not have paid a dime for it. I will contact the company to see about replacing, but I don't even know that I want a replacement. I have serious concerns about its safety especially given it is for my daughter. Again, buyer beware. I wanted an inexpensive, short term solution for my daughters room. I did not realize just how short term it would be.

I've given this headboard five stars because it met our expectations. It is nice looking and was easy to assemble. We had no issues with the quality, an issue raised by some reviewers. The finish (white) was evenly applied and we found no imperfections. We installed this item in our guest bedroom, which gets very little use. It is not as rigid as we would like, but this is more due to the nature of the connection to the bed frame than to a deficiency in the headboard itself. A more robust/heavier headboard would probably not have this problem, and buyers looking for a "full time" headboard might be well advised to spend a bit more or look at alternative methods to attach to the frame (some frames have a "bayonet" fitting that would fit into the slots also provided in the headboard). This headboard came with a USB outlet that could be installed on one of the legs. We did not use it since we have conventional outlets on either side of the bed.

Solid, real wood! Attached easily and you can even mount without the pre drilled holes if youre handy because its sturdy and real wood not mdf or particle board. Added a nice look to the room. USB charger a neat addition if you need it.

Purchased for our Sister In Law. Arrived on time, one piece in the box. Easy to install. Just what she wanted.

First one we received was defective-holes did not line up for assembly- contacted amazon and a new one was immediately shipped and defective one returned with no issues - holes did not quite line up with our bed frame so we had to improvise by drilling one new hole on each leg, but worth it as we love the look and really wanted to keep it-it is solid wood and looks like an expensive headboard- would recommend

Pre drilled holes and dowels did not match when trying to put it together. Two days to get hold of the supplier on their 24/7 contract line. Waiting now to find out the return shipment and refund.
