Bates Box Cutter - Folding Utility Knife With 3 Extra Blades, Retractable

I like the look and the functionality. It's made very well, it stores plenty of blades within it, and it's super comfortable in my hand. I also really like the flip out blade, how it tucks in the handle. If I have to buy another one, I would be more than happy to buy this one again, but from the look and feel, it doesn't look like it will need replacing for quite some time.

Looks a feels cheap but it's pretty solid. It locks in three open positions as well as locking closed. Locks into each position easily and it's sold enough that I had to use both hands to move it without pushing the button. The back stays closed until you push the sides in so it shouldn't be opening unless you want it to. Each part is really well thought out and excuted. Nice job.

2 things I am not happy with. blade is too tight to open and there are 3 different position the safety pin locks in. I took it apart and noticed that they painted over where the bearing goes so the tolerance are too tight. I removed the paint and scraped off access paint and now its very smooth. I might grind out the addition locking positions. its a fun little tool to modify your self to fit your need. easy to customize.

This product has a solid ergonomic design which allows it to sit comfortably and securely in my hand helping to ensure a secure grip and overall safety when using it. Comes with a belt clip, and a compartment which can hold up to 3 additional replacement blades. To date I have only used it to cut boxes, but will be using it for heavier projects such as cutting sheetrock. We will see how it stands up to the challenge. Great product at a great price with a solid warranty.

I've had mine for about a month now. Its sturdy, fits nice in my smaller hands, and I haven't had any problems out of it. It comes with 3 extra blades with a little bit of rattle but can fit 4 if you're like me and don't want to hear the rattle sound.

I have used this box cutter a lot since receiving it and it has served me well. I was using a very old cutter and the blade was worn out. Since I couldn't figure out how to change it, I decided to upgrade to something new. I would recommend this Bates product to anyone needing a sharp, safe box cutter.

As much as this is a great value for the money. It’s only a month and a half old and it won’t shut any more. This is a back up knife the one I usually use is also this make and model and I’ve had that one almost a year. I was really disappointed

This is a great knife! I really like the various opening positions and that it has extra blade storage in the handle 👌 it's really well made and durable. Should last for years.
