What is the distance between the Glass/Door and the Rails/Devices?

The distance is adjustable from about 2" to about 5 inches behind the glass. I use these frequently and have always had sufficient adjustment space.

The front door can be installed in either a right or left opening configuration

Is there space for power/network cables to go out of steel casing? i am going to use this for my network video recorder and need to bring cables out.
